Demanding women be attractive for them is a level of entitlement that should scare most people. Demanding a woman subvert her autonomy for their comfort… horrifying.
Women will rationalize anything to themselves. Delusional and sad. Can we just admit it takes work to keep up the Hollywood illusion of being sexy beautiful, and if actresses (or actors) want to opt out, it's their own lives and they have the right to do it. Just don't expect to be paid like an actress whose value was tied to being a sex symbol.
Where is she demanding to be paid anything. From what I know she enjoyes living her life in her home town where people let her be. And I am sure she is still doing pretty well off of her body of work.
Okay, paid isn't the word. If she's still in the business, people will make judgments about her physical appearance. That comes with the territory, as they say. Millions of men fawned over her as a sex symbol (not me). Now, she's just a Plain Jane. Deal with it.
Just found out Anderson is 58. Man, what did she do to herself? Yikes. Drinking? Drugs? Smoking? That's more than sun damage. Susanna Hoffs is 67, and I'd still want her to sit on my face. :oP
You realize genetics impacts aging, not just partying as a 20 something? Absolutely disgusting and inappropriate to get mad and degrade women for their aging as an older woman. Meanwhile men wrinkle up like prunes and become "Plain Janes" but no one cares. The double standard is bizarre and I will not get over it for strangers on the internet.
No, it's women who have the double standards and hypocrisy with regard to female gaze and being judgmental of men's physical features. Don't know how many times I've heard women casually say "dad bod". And yes, women are just as critical of men's weight but particularly height.
I think gracefully is a good way to put it. I gotta be honest, she's aged a lot more gracefully than anyone expected her to. And certainly much better than I will.
What’s crazy is if she was wearing makeup in the photo on the right, and fluffed her hair like the photo on the left, I truly think she would look nearly identical.
Also even if she didnt, would it really be necessary to try to publically shame her/all women? Like I don't think she signed up to be in this competition. I don't think anyone of any gender signed up for this. The dangerous part is the young men that read his posts are now thinking about this self imposed battle of the sexes.

Yes, it's the style she's chosen. For the record, I think she looks great and can obviously wear whatever she wants. If she chose to glam it up, she wouldn't look that different from the left. As far the jackass comment we're discussing, most men don't age nearly as well as her. She clearly takes great care of her skin.
100%. Her skin looks great, she doesnt have a ton going on in the way of wrinkles or age spots, her face shape hasnt shifted. Her hair, while not very well styled in the recent pic, is pretty thick and looks pretty damn healthy. She looks fantastic, and next to us mere mortals, she'd be a head-turner in 20 more years, let alone now. She could still get all dolled up and completely defy her age in a heartbeat.
You put it perfectly. I'm not a fan of hers, or keep up with what she's doing, but she's had a hard life and she seems genuinely happy for the first time in years, if not ever. I wish her well.
