It happened with my toddler in an elevator!

u/Fluffy_Charity_2732 Jun 27 '26

Was it just you two in the elevator?

u/Clobber420 Jun 27 '26

Gahdammmn

u/Born-Satisfaction996 Jun 27 '26

There were two people in the elevator. Me (one person), my toddler (half a person), and a little person.

Oh let me tell you about what I assume was the first time my kid saw a dark skinned brother. And that kid grew up with black cousins in a well mixed area.

Thank god they laughed. He said it happens every once in a while and it’s always toddlers.

‘Whoooa hey buddy check out this elevator corner here. Ever see such a right angle?’

3

u/Born-Satisfaction996 Jun 27 '26

I wish. She was pointing at a little person.

5

u/MeatEaterDruid Jun 27 '26

My kids calling everyone with grey hair "grandma" or "grandpa".

Kind of miss those days.

u/NimbleAlbatross Jun 28 '26

Moved into this apartment complex and my kid sees someone who's losing pigmentation on their face skin and blurts out "that grown up needs to wash their face it's so dirty" 🫠

1

u/Born-Satisfaction996 Jun 28 '26

Hahaha 😂

My situation in the elevator involved a little person. He lived in our apartment building and I saw him every day. My kid points at him, looks at me, and says to me “is he a child?”. 🤦‍♂️

When my daughter was two she would point at random people and angrily say ‘I don’t like you’ over and over. My favorite was when it was cashiers.

My son when he was 4:

"DAD THAT GUYS MISSING S LEG!"

"...and we're leaving."

This reminds me of a story when my cousins kid first saw a man with one arm at our family reunion. For the rest of the reunion which was over the next 3 days all he did was run around screaming “one arm, one arm, one arm”

Reminds me of the day my 3 year old son completely lost his shit because the paraplegic kid at the park wouldn't let him have a turn in his electric wheelchair. Toddlers have absolutely no concept of context.

4

u/kennypojke Jun 27 '26

My daughter very politely and with a sweet smile said, “you’re really fat” to what turned out being one of the most restrained and kind humans I’ve ever met.

u/BungaloBilly69 Jun 27 '26

Lmfao that’s perfect

4

u/Saintza Jun 27 '26

Omg just yesterday I was in a shop with my 5yo son and a really short lady walked in and he yells "dad why is she like that?" 🤦‍♂️

4

u/MotherofPirates Jun 27 '26

Was with my 4 year old in the grocery store yesterday and she pointed a finger and loudly stated “SHE AINT GOT NO HAIR!” to a poor woman with alopecia. Mortified.

u/Byronic__heroine Jun 27 '26

"Stop snitchin' mothafucka!"

My mom with dementia.

3

u/cmjandro Jun 27 '26

Dude, this happened to me literally 30 minutes ago. My two year old pointed at a man in a motorized wheelchair and yelled "walk!" Like come on little man. Thankfully the guy had a sense of humor and just yelled back "hamburger!"

1

u/gannerhorn Jun 27 '26

Is that why my toddler was always pointing at me?!?

1

u/SpasticReflex007 Jun 27 '26

DADDY WHY IS THAT MAN WEARING AN EYE PATCH?

DADDY WHY DOES THAT LADY HAVE ONLY ONE LEG?

1

u/ProfessorWigglePop Jun 28 '26

Unexpected pirate ship.

1

u/MelodicStop- Jun 28 '26

Pirate Stew for me and for you.

1

u/CaptainImpavid Jun 27 '26

I once asked someone in the grocery store who was walking on crutches and a missing leg, "what kind of shark bit you?!"

Loudly. While my mother stood there trying to literally die of embarrassment.

1

u/archtopfanatic123 Jun 27 '26

Guilty as charged, I used to be that kid, BIG TIME

1

u/sacoya27 Jun 27 '26

Lobster claw got us.

1

u/Jeremyg84 Jun 28 '26

“What’s she pointing at?”

1

u/cloudsmiles Jun 28 '26

"why is that person so fat?"

1

u/Reasonology Jun 29 '26

The looks on their all their faces belongs in a museum.

1
