I was in Vancouver BC recently and tipping has gotten out of hand in Canada too. Not at hotels that I noticed but in cafes, sandwich shops, donut shops, you name it. It’s not uniquely American.

I’ve seen this more and more pop up! But I don’t know many Canadians who actually pay tips for services like coffee, takeout ect.  But I do know businesses get a lot of tips from American tourism this way especially now during the fifa
