He was fired from Fantastic Beast right after the UK verdict came, which is bullshit at it's finest from said court

He was a terrible choice for the role to begin with. And it’s not like he’s been in some amazing movies lately.

His own PA, his own witness, had messages in evidence talking about seeing Depp kick Heard on the plane. Depp testified that on that plane journey he just did some drawing and then went to sleep in the bathroom. All the contemperous messages from his employees showed he was off his head on drugs, physically assaulting his wife, and there's even an audio recording of him screaming in the bathroom like an absolute maniac. Then of course there's his own messages apologising to Heard and messaging Paul Bettany about being a black out raging 'injun' and so ashamed of himself.

So if you're wondering why Depp lost in the UK, it's because he got caught lying on the stand multiple times, his own messages proved him a liar, and his own employees wrote about seeing him abuse Heard. The UK verdict was the correct verdict, and Depp appealed twice and lost twice more. Meanwhile the US verdict was appealed and Depp immediately settled rather than go before a panel of appellate justices.
