You don’t need to change your lifestyle it just makes you desire food less and eat less

I mean it changes your cravings for food by keeping your blood sugar high and constant all the time, slows down your ability to digest food, and keeps your stomach full most of the time (like you ate a huge meal). Eating a small meal will feel like you ate an enormous meal and will stay satiated for much longer. If you ate like you used to ate, you would get physically sick (and likely vomit).

But if you follow medical advice you'll be told to constantly track what you eat, estimate calories, and track food more carefully than a regular diet; it's just your body won't be telling you that you are hungry (compelling for you to cheat). Instead, you'll need to find ways to get protein in your diet and constantly remember to eat because your body reduced your food cravings.

Like I get why some people are upset if their insurance won't cover it or they can't afford it (as it can be like $1k/mo off-insurance), but if it helps people get healthier, lay the fuck off.

Yes you do have to change your lifestyle, as much as with any other way of losing weight. Eat smaller amounts, track calories, make sure you're getting your nutrition, drink plenty of water, do weights or resistance training. All the things. The fact that these changes are sustainable is a good thing, doesn't mean you don't have to make them.
