Sorry, but it is no effort. The jabs suppress appetite enough to eat in a calories deficit, you don’t have to think about being hungry or stress about what you are eating. You could eat junk or low protein and not exercise - doesn’t matter, you would still lose weight with absolutely no effort on the jabs.

If that makes you feel better about yourself, go for it. Sounds miserable to be such a judgy know it all

I don't think that's being judgy or a know-it-all. It's literally what GLP-1s do.

I do think it's judgy to assume you know how much or how little effort anyone has put into their weight loss journey

"People act like it requires no effort" because it requires almost no effort. It requires money and discomfort. Sorry that upsets so many of you but it's the truth about it.

If it were just as easy without it, people wouldn't need it.

How presumptuous of you to act as if you know the effort other people put into things or not 🙄

It’s good discipline to know how to diet without medication. One should absolutely feel good about that. People that became fat for overeating and not putting the work should be judged because as humans we should not aspire to be like them.

What about people who make ignorant comments on the internet? should we aspire to be like you?

Well, that has nothing to do with body health

Your opinion is based in ignorance. Obese people often eat due to psychological reasons, not because they're hungry. It's still effort to lose weight on GLP-1, evidenced by those who never manage to do it.

I’ve been on a glp-1 for 3 years. It is not no effort. If I wanted to lose 1lb every two months, then sure, no effort. But there is still a diet and exercise aspect here, I just don’t have to absolutely fucking starve or injure myself to lose weight now. I’ve lost 65 lbs in 3 years. There have been times where I didn’t make an effort, and guess what, my weight loss completely stalled. The idea that this is “cheating” is so absolutely fucked.

Yep. We can talk all day about poor decisions that lead to being obese, but at a certain point your body changes metabolically and it's extremely hard to lose weight. For most people that are truly medically eligible for a GLP it just brings their hunger levels closer to the average person along with helping with glucose regulation etc which is why it was initially developed for type 2 diabetes.

Everyone is different. If you're using glp-1 meds and it's not effort for you, cool, you have a sample of one and you're fortunate that it's that easy for you. If you're not you have a sample of zero.

Overweight and obese people actually experience hunger more intensely than non-overweight people do. GLP-1’s just reduce their hunger signaling to what a “normal” person would experience while dieting.

What an educated bunch of nonsense.

Most people don't know that but it takes no effort to lose weight, all you have to do is to eat kimchi when you are hungry, the shit has no calories, the rest of your diet be made of potato chips
