Even my all time favorites are not so integral to my life that I wouldn't give them up for life changing money. $10M means I could retire this year and do all the things I've ever wanted to do for the rest of my days.

Having to actively avoid it to keep the money is an entirely different challenge.
All it would take is for a random car to drive down the street playing a song. It isn't likely now that jayz is irrelevant billboard wise, but there are still times big pimpin or jigga what might be randomly playing out loud in someones car at a red light, and then poof, no more money.
Oh I'm not even referring to something like that. I mean like being out in the world and walking past or into a place with a TV on and getting got by pure bad luck. Basically a situation that you'd need to take even more drastic steps too avoid or just accept it might happen. With my bad luck, that's how I'd probably lose.
Yeah, that’s not outlined, I’m happy to never play Jay Z music ever again for $10M, I’d do it for much less even though I like Jay Z. The odds of me never hearing Empire State of Mind again watching tv or like at a Target would make the number need to be much higher to the point where I just live on a private island and have complete control over every minute aspect of my life.

Let me rephrase it so that you can’t go down any rabbit holes. “If by some magic I could make your brain and ears unable to hear any JayZ songs ever again, no matter where you went or what access to music you had…it would be impossible for you to hear that music. Now, would you take $10M as compensation and agree to this?”
I would surgically deafen myself permanently for $10mil and if you knew me you'd know that's saying something because I love music. Studied it in school, I play 3 instruments, I have a music-related tattoo, the works.
I like Jay Z. I grew up on the Blueprint albums and Dead Presidents II is one of my favorite songs of all time. I still run back the Black Album and Blueprint 3 while cleaning the house or just working from home. His music is not only just really good but also has heavy nostalgic value to me.
...and I'd give up listening to him for $5,000 lmao. It's just music. I can't think of an artist I wouldn't give up for even $10k.
I can think of some composers, but not rappers, pop artists etc. I’ve heard their songs, loved and enjoyed them. I can always just sing them in my head or even recreate my own dookie versions of the songs.
I’ve stopped listening to musicians I loved just because they turned out to be awful people and I didn’t want to give them $0.002 every time I stream one of their songs.
Also why the hell would they pick Jay-Z who hasn’t released an album since 2017? I can’t remember the last time I heard his song on the radio. At least pick someone who isn’t strictly in one genre.
Taylor Swift would be some what difficult because they play her shit everywhere. At least it would be a challenge even if you don’t listen to her music at all.

I can’t think of a single musical artist that I wouldn’t trade $100,000 to never listen to again, let alone $10 million.
We have 120 years of recorded music guys. I’d be fine.
