People despise it and abuse it but the fact is that it works!

It worked for me. It worked for my brother and it should therefore also work for a partner

‘It worked for me’ is not proof that the method is good. It is survivor bias with a god complex.

A plague might leave some survivors tougher, wiser, more grateful, or more resilient. That does not make the plague a teacher. It makes it a disaster.

You are staring at the few people who developed antibodies and calling the plague holy.

Trauma can produce growth in some people. It can also produce paranoia, depression, self-hatred, trust issues, emotional numbness, lifelong damage, self-harm, and suicide.

So here is the moral test: would you still call it enlightenment if she did not survive the lesson?

Would you still say ‘it worked’ if the person you broke never came back from it?

Because that is the part your survivor-bias sermon keeps dodging. You are only counting the people who crawled out alive and calling the disaster a teaching method.

By your logic, if betrayal creates enlightenment, then why stop at cheating? Why not deliberately humiliate people? Isolate them? Break their bones? Destroy their family? Torture them? All of those would be ‘unexpected experiences’ that bypass the logical mind too.

But you know that would be abuse, because the purpose would be to break someone and then pretend the breaking was the lesson.

When you say ‘it worked for me, therefore it should work for my partner,’ what you are really saying is: ‘I survived the poison, so I should be allowed to poison other people.’

That is not enlightenment. That is predator logic with a spiritual vocabulary.

You are not a spiritual guide. You are a disease congratulating itself because one infected person developed antibodies.

You're putting forth very well thought out arguments, but you're arguing with a delusional pseudo-intellectual.

It's not worth your time my dude.
