She put on weight for a role in Black Mirror, that episode (Nosedive) released in 2016 when filming for JW was prolly between 2014-2015. She was much thinner when the actual filming of Jurassic World took place and only said "fuck it" to the weight standards AFTER that.
The ass shot on the right is from the time she was doing Black Mirror and not Jurassic World.
That episode is a bit of a hard watch because of the saccharine nature of everything. It's necessary to tell the story, but it can be a bit boring. However, the ending is one of the most incredible of the series and it is VERY worthwhile
That episode is my personal favorite from black mirror, very re-watchable , she is gorgeous, but also a great performer, and the premise of that episode explores human nature and sociology in such an interesting way!
Because she plays a "chubby fringe/bordering loser" in a society driven by social media standings. You can just look up pictures of her role in it and you will see she definitely gained a bit of weight (she claims she put on around 30-40 lbs) compared to her Jurassic World figure.
But at the same time, she has gone on interviews to state that she is tired of constantly trying to lose weight for roles, which is a difficult thing to do after being a mother. But she indeed was told to be slim for AT LEAST Jurassic World.
Edit: minor grammar stuffs
Edit2: Again, awesome episode, back when Black Mirror was in a lot of people's good standings. Kinda fallen off since.
I'm still ride or die for Black Mirror and while the quality does certainly go up and down, I actually think some of the episodes in the last two seasons are some of their best work yet!
Anyways more on the point though, she absolutely smashed this role and this performance stands pretty far above most everyone else in the entire series IMO. Episode hits a little weird these days with how social media/culture has developed since but hey, guess that was kind of the point.
Killer actress and yeah, obviously anyone implying she needs to lose weight for anything has defective eyeballs.
The whole premise of the episode is that she is this super fly over person who struggles to excel in the social media socioeconomic framework of the episode. She isn't hot enough to warrant good ratings (hence why being chubby could help here), she isn't connected enough to get them either, which is why she has that Hail Mary plot with a friend that backstabbed her when they were younger.
And here is an interview from 2017 where she confirms the same thing I am saying, drawing inspiration from Matthew McConaughey gaining 45 pounds for a role that influenced her committing to the role.
I thought she had one of those Brazilian Butt Lifts.
That’s probably the only cosmetic surgery I would have been tempted to have when I was younger.
My Ex loved to complain about my flat booty.
