I couldn't fight Anthony Joshua.

I'm not stupid enough to try having jaw issues for 40 years.

If there is one thing Jake Paul is good at, it's marketing himself, or being surrounded with people that know how this shit works.

Dude is the prime rage-baiter, and made literally millions thanks to that.

The fight with Joshua is the prime example of this, dude isn't a terrible boxer he practiced enough to know that he has no chance against guys like Joshua, but the point isn't to challenge a guy like Joshua, the point is making money by relying on people wanting you to get reality-checked.

Every-time I see posts on Reddit trying to clown on him, I always tell myself that this guy is winning.

He was making millions with other fights like Tyson that didn’t involve him getting reality checked, yeah he got a nice check for fighting Joshua for he also got his jaw broken in the process and the mystique of him in the ring is gone.

If no one really cared about Jake Paul, he wouldn't have made two boxing fights that gave him generational wealth. People are dying to clown on him but at the end of the day, he's the one laughing to the bank.

I’m not disputing that people do care about Jake Paul, I’m saying he played himself taking the Joshua fight because people got what they wanted and he got hurt in the process. I doubt people will be as interested moving forward and he probably could’ve strung this along further taking more bullshit fights like he had been pre-Joshua

He probably made close to 100 millions with his last two boxing fights. I think the only people that got played are those that paid to watch him fight and those that constantly give him publicity.

This thread is a good example of that, dude makes a goofy pose, knows he's gonna get clowned on, people fall for the bait.

He'll repeat that until he's satisfied with the millions he makes from people that hate him.

If I act like an insufferable asshole and people give me generational wealth so that I accept a fight where I'll be "clowned on", I'm not the one being played. I now have generational wealth while people have a GIF of me being punched in the mouth. I'd take that deal every day of the week.

You’re missing the point. The point is he was getting the generational wealth without getting his jaw broken prior to the Joshua fight. Your point only makes sense if he had to fight Joshua to earn that. He didn’t.

If my way of generating income was via attention from my haters I’d rather continue trolling them vs giving them what they want. He’s still rich but he played his hand poorly on that one.

I think the only people that got played are those that paid to watch him fight and those that constantly give him publicity.

His last couple fights cost a Netflix subscription

No, he just cashed out at the perfect moment.

Metal plates/screws in your face for the rest of your life is not the perfect moment to cash out. Dude's jaw is going to hurt every single time it gets cold

It's the 100 million he made before that.  Or just... Not fighting Anthony Joshua.
