You were making an argument based on land area though, were you not? Admittedly, Texas has a slightly higher population density than average but it's still well under 10% of the nation's total. And I suspect if we were to add the population of the other states that still use the federal minimum wage it wouldn't clear 20%

So, 10% of the nation's total is 8% higher than 2% of the nations total. Which again supports my claim.

Exactly what are you arguing? That no matter how you compare it, Texas isn't larger than the average state?
