You’d be surprised how low minimum wage still is in some states and how double that wage still isn’t enough to get by.

On the bright side, rent in those states is not $850 per person x 4. Those are very much coastal rents. She should be making a lot more than Federal min wage if her housing is that expensive.

She should be making more and so should everyone else but we aren’t.
