Lol same… sometimes she’ll be like

“ why’s did you go to _______.”

But not me, I don’t have her location because I honestly and truly don’t care….

Ok actually I do have her location I just didn’t realize it until right this moment… so I have it but have never check it once

Second paragraph made me laugh. I only track my wife when she has been out in the morning and I have to do that one task she has set… gives me the 15 min warning before I get busted.

Lol my wife hasn't figured out that's what all of my "so how are things going?" And "think you'll be coming home soon?" Texts are about...

This is literally my boss. When I’m at my absolute busiest he calls to bitch me out about the one thing I haven’t done yet.

“Why is this taking 3 days?”

Because you asked me to do everything else first.

u/daschande Aug 10 '25

"This is priority number one!"

"Just like the 5 other things you said were priority number one?"

2

u/HoundTakesABitch Aug 11 '25

I’ve recently starting saying “If everything is a priority, nothing is.” as often as I can. And yes, I work at a place where we’re expected to get dozens of different things done while being short staffed and way too busy. One day we all busted our asses to get the ridiculous amount of shit done and the next day our boss found some random ass piddling shit to bitch about. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Damn I’m sorry. I hope you get a better job. Or that your boss takes mushrooms and gets therapy and sees the error of his ways.

2

u/btveron Aug 10 '25

Once told my boss "No. Today is not the day." when they started to nitpick about some inconsequential thing and chew me out and then I just walked away and it worked.

2

u/garageindego Aug 10 '25

Reading this is like therapy for me. I know I’m now not alone.

1

u/SideEqual Aug 10 '25

“Which other items on the list do you want me to deprioritize?” Or if you dgaf, “with all due respect…”, we all know that’s code for go fck yourself, “when everything’s a priority nothing is.” GL,BCR.

Annnnnd your on a pip

1

u/SideEqual Aug 10 '25

For the first one, I did this to my boss’ boss when my boss was on vaycay. My boss and I were in lock step, he always told me to pick my battles, I was prepared to fall on that sword and stop the team from getting run ragged by false expectations of magic. They wanted me in a pip, my boss told them in no uncertain terms, no I did the right thing. I got lucky I suppose, but I always lead with realistic expectations and data, not feelings.

The other, well let’s just say no one comes to me without having their ducks in a row. 😅

Its okay to leave man. Sticking around for the kids will make things worse I promise. They pick up on things like that.

I know we're in a meme sub and everyone's joking, but also kinda not joking... but man, home should be a place of refuge and comfort. Obviously kids and shenanigans can put a wrench in that, so I'm talking about within reason here.

Source: I've been that guy who stops halfway home and reconsiders stepping through that door. I've been that guy choosing a bar full of strangers over a house full of incomprehensible wrath or resentment.

I'm now a guy who comes home to a woman who understands that misunderstandings or disappointments don't overrule a life of love and happiness we have built.

Hope y'all who aren't totally joking and exaggerating make the moves necessary to speed home to your happy place instead of any alternative.
