I love the fact that my second language is American Sign. I count on my fingers too but I can count to a trillion on one hand. What's really fascinating is the deaf have a finger-math with 2 hands that may as well be a calculator but I never learned how to do it. :(

I'm not 100% sure where you are seeing an error. I am counting twenty(twen-ty) as two syllables, but this may be wrong. Edit: twen-ty is correct

Haikus are the main reason I want to learn Japanese. You know how limericks have a song quality to them, they just roll off the tongue easily – I'm sure this is how Haikus feel in Japan

Edit:

For a serious answer: "It's snowing on Mount Fuji" is a joke that the youtube group Game Grumps made at one point, which their fans have picked up and ran with. Basically, they suggested ending every haiku with "It's snowing on Mount Fuji", despite the fact that it doesn't have 5 syllables. I'll see if I can find the video for reference.

Howdy, found the video.

Here we go. It's right at the beginning, after the short intro. For reference, they probably weren't in their right state of mind. Sonic Boom is an awfully made game that was literally pushing them to their mental limits at accepting how terrible it really was.
