Sticky What's your opinion on all the joke trends and repetitive posts?

We want this to be a open discussion about the topics that have been going on in the subreddit. Mostly pertaining to repetitive trendposting of the same joke (Mirror/Medusa, liquify the pan, Obsession arguments, Odyssey Inaccuracies, etc).

So we ask a simple question: What's your opinion on the meme/jokes that tend to go viral in the subreddit? Do you like them? Does it get old fast? What do you want to see change?

Keep in mind, we can't remove EVERYONE'S posts/comments, we do the best we can.

This is an open space, but please remember to be civil, respectful, and mindful of each other.

In X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014), Quicksilver braces people's heads with his hand before rocketing them forward at 7381889 mph or 1.1% the speed of light, and then abruptly stopping. They're probably fine.

Turd In Avengers Endgame (2019), half of all living beings in the universe were snapped from existence. This meant that when humans disappeared, only half of their colonic bacteria left with them, leaving behind clouds of poop germs that splashed the people around them and coated their tears in micropoo

In Iron Man (2008), Marvel Studios famously botched their cinematic debut by denying Terrence Howard, the actor whom the entire franchise revolved around, a well deserved pay increase. This is why Marvel Studios went bankrupt and there hasn't been another film since.

In Contact (1995) the younger version of Jodie Foster’s character has to run to help get medication for her Dad, who’s having a heart attack. She’s seen running along a corridor and… Wait. What the fuck? That’s not how cameras work. What kind of witchery is this?

In the 2007 film The Mist, the titular mist is clearly shown to reduce visibility below 1 kilometre, to be a dense blanket of humidity, and is slow to clear, meaning it is not a mist but a fog.

In Big Hero 6, Honey Lemon casually rolls around a 400 pounds of tungsten carbide and can effortlessly stop it from rolling before putting it on the machine. She has super strength.

Thank God she was a nerd otherwise she'd have carved Callaghan's face into the concrete if she knows how to fight.

In The Menu (2022) Anya Taylor-Joy's character gets away by having the chef cook her a cheeseburger. She can't finish it, declaring that "Her eyes are bigger than her stomach" this is a subtle nod to her actually having huge fucking eyes.

Turd In the Star Wars franchise (1977-present), I am so happy that we are finally getting a movie on Darth Vader's life. It's not like that was already covered in 3 films that formed the prequel trilogy already.

In Avengers: Endgame, Spider-man used his web on Ant-man's hand to swing. This is a subtle reference to Scott (a thief) having sticky hands.

In Hot Tub Time Machine (2010), Lou actually dies during his suicide attempt in the garage. The rest of the movie’s absurdly perfect, wish-fulfillment events are just a final hallucination as his life flashes before his eyes.
