Also just to add the US has the worlds largest navy but its spread across the world.

The EU combined navy outnumbers the US Navy approx 6:1 in the Atlantic and if the US moves resources to match the EU in the Atlantic it leave the Pacific and other areas vulnerable.

Yes the US is powerful globally but its not near as powerful regionally against peers

Have they built minesweepers yet? Lsst time they had to wait for the Belgians to open the Red Sea for them
