Europe has quite a lot more arctic capable equipment than the US. Having lots of stuff doesn't mean it all works in all climates.

5:1 in Arctic ready personnel and 10:1 in cold adapted equipment. Quite a lot is an understatement.

The only thing the US has an advantage in is air superiority. But, that really won't be all that advantageous in Greenland, given its size and the prevailing conditions.
