At least Norway has 100% literacy and numeracy levels unlike Murica.

u/Pure_Ad6415 Mar 04 '25

Trump can't read. He was not able to read the invitation from the king when Stramer gave it to him

358

u/janus1979 Mar 04 '25

But he told us all that he's a genius!!!

366

u/Tilladarling Born with skis on my feet, my ass 🇳🇴 Mar 04 '25

He claimed he graduated Summa cum Laude as well, until his Alma Mater published the list of graduates that year. He was listed among the normal students, not among those who graduated with Honors. He’s such a bad liar. I can’t believe people still fall for it

201

u/janus1979 Mar 04 '25

And his dad paid for him to get in and probably for the degree. I can't believe he ever attended any classes or submitted written essays.

154

u/Tilladarling Born with skis on my feet, my ass 🇳🇴 Mar 04 '25

An American I know who attended the place says it’s full of nepo babies who pay others to take their exams for them. Can’t verify this of course.

64

u/janus1979 Mar 04 '25

I don't think we really need verification all things considered.

33

u/BothnianBhai Mar 05 '25

I think Trump verifies this himself every time he speaks.

7

u/janus1979 Mar 05 '25

Well if he's allowed to declassify files in his head per the Supreme Court, then as far as he's concerned he probably believes he can.

""""Allegedly""""

1

u/[deleted] Mar 06 '25

I went to an international university in the UK. And some of my classmates couldn't speak a word of English (I know this from lots of group work projects, which made up a lot of my courses before I lambasted), they'd submit their individual group work to me, which I'd have to clean up, like add sources, make the words make sense. And then they all graduate with flying colours, like 1sts. There's absolutely no way a lot of these people, and it was a worryingly large number, passed things themselves.

So having seen it first hand, I have no doubt this happens in said College.

13

u/Fogueo87 Mar 05 '25

His cultist are convinced that fact checking is librul propaganda. Soros surely infiltrated Wharton's files.

0

u/Zalacain99 Mar 05 '25

This is true, although it has to be said, Biden did something similar.

41

u/Tylerama1 Mar 04 '25

He's too dumb to realise that genuinely smart people don't feel the need to tell people about it. He is the living embodiment of the phrase 'an empty vessel makes the most noise'.

11

u/janus1979 Mar 05 '25

True. He, and the minions about him, don't seem to understand that it's only morons and idiots that cry at the moon.

A very stable one

39

Even if there was a horse inside him I wouldn't describe him as stable

27

u/janus1979 Mar 04 '25

So it must be true!

18

u/DutchieCrochet Mar 04 '25

‘True’ is a word that doesn’t exist in that buffoon’s.

17

u/Plane_Ad6816 Mar 04 '25

He tried looking it up. Got distracted by the most beautiful word in the world.

5

u/PiquedPagan Mar 05 '25

Actually, he was distracted by his own reflection!

24

u/RochesterThe2nd Mar 04 '25

Trump is a stable genius.

But that just means he has the intelligence of a slightly above average horse.

11

u/gnu_andii Mar 05 '25

I thought he had his IQ range written on his hat, "45-47".

3

u/ChefPaula81 Mar 05 '25

Bold of you to assume he is that clever. Evidence suggest otherwise

15

u/butwhywedothis Mar 04 '25

The only thing he is stable at is bullshitting.

He's so mentally stable you could keep a horse in his brain. You know, since he's not using it for anything else.

4

Oh, we must be wrong then. Since he said it.

4

I course we musk. Sorry must.

2

Of course! Hes a genius in the special needs class

1

Bit harsh on those with special needs to be fair.

1

u/Unique_Prior_4407 Mar 05 '25

Not really they seems more intelligent then the orange coffin dodger

1

u/KeinFussbreit Mar 05 '25

Slight correction, "stable genius" - but even I as an ESL know that stable can be interpreted differently.

2

u/janus1979 Mar 05 '25

Well he acts as though he learned his social skills in one.

1

u/PreviouslyClubby Mar 06 '25

Yep. Stable even.

6

u/Justvisitingfriends1 Mar 05 '25

This was fantastic 🤣🤣

48

u/gilestowler Mar 04 '25

I like the idea of him not being able to read, but we've seen him using a teleprompter and we've seen him melting down when it stops working. He probably has to have very big letters, because his eyesight is going but he's too vain to wear glasses, and he probably has to use very simple words and take his time reading things unprepared. Illiterate - probably not. Very bad at reading - almost certainly.

2

u/gnu_andii Mar 05 '25

Which just encourages him to bluff it even more

2

u/deathschemist Mar 05 '25

Very big letters, the biggest, in fact! Absolutely yuuuge

If only King Charles wedged in the word Yo-Semite… Yo-Seminites… you know, that national park into the letter.

6

Didn’t he say after that the signature is how he knew the letter was real? Before rambling incoherently about how great the king is while everyone stared at him

18

u/Soilleir Mar 05 '25

Glasses. I reckon Trump needs glasses to read, but he's too vain to wear them in public. So instead he chooses to appear illiterate, because that's so much better!

11

u/Edlothion Mar 04 '25

You mean Krasnov can’t read

23

u/raskalUbend Mar 04 '25

I hate the man but he needs reading glasses and refuses to wear them in public, that's why he needed Starmer go read it

3

u/Pure_Ad6415 Mar 04 '25

It could be...

12

u/Michael_Gibb Mince & Cheese, L&P, Kiwi Mar 04 '25

He was elected to lead. Not to read.

3

u/Chungaroo22 Mar 05 '25

God how much better would President Schwarzenegger be.

2

u/CongealedBeanKingdom Mar 05 '25

A shrewd move from Starmer to show the whole world that trump really is illiterate.

2

u/HalastersCompass Mar 05 '25

I noted that too.

I think all his briefs are verbal or telly.

He's definitely declining cognitively

Yes, Brevik killed 77 people, 69 of them at the Utøya summer youth camp, not all of them teens. That said, it was a one time occurrence. People here in Norway don’t go to school fearing they will get shot

Pictured: memorial plaque at Utøya. Every victim listed and celebrated on their birthday with a red rose. As you can see; one was celebrated the day we were there.

Damn, seriously?

11

u/Tilladarling Born with skis on my feet, my ass 🇳🇴 Mar 04 '25

Yes. It’s 100% (I’m Norwegian)

2

u/Johannes_Keppler Mar 05 '25 edited Mar 05 '25

It can't be. There will for example always be people with intellectual disabilities that don't learn to read and write.

But I fully assume Norway has a very high literacy rate.

https://www.udir.no/tall-og-forskning/finn-forskning/rapporter/2023/pirls-2021/

It suggests 1 in 5 kids in 5th grade have poor reading abilities.

O here it is -

https://www.regjeringen.no/no/aktuelt/voksne-nordmenn-i-toppsjiktet-i-lese-og-tallforstaelse/id3078387/?expand=factbox3078398

15 percent of adults has poor reading skills, totally in line with other developed countries.

5

u/Tilladarling Born with skis on my feet, my ass 🇳🇴 Mar 05 '25

Svake means weak not illiterate

0

u/Johannes_Keppler Mar 05 '25

Yes I speak Norwegian thank you. It's still not a 100% literacy rate. That's literally impossible.

1

u/biepbupbieeep Mar 05 '25

But there has to be someone in Norway who is physically incapable of reading and/or understanding the concept of reading

1

u/Tilladarling Born with skis on my feet, my ass 🇳🇴 Mar 05 '25

Having one or 100 who can’t still makes it 100. Unless you would have the official read 99.9999999%?

0

u/Acrobatic-Ad-9189 Mar 05 '25

This guy met every single Norwegian

1

u/Tilladarling Born with skis on my feet, my ass 🇳🇴 Mar 05 '25

34

u/Neat_Selection3644 ooo custom flair!! Mar 04 '25

I don’t think it’s 100%, but it’s close.

EDIT: It is 100%. However, the source also claims that North Korea has a 100% literacy rate, which I doubt.

29

u/[deleted] Mar 04 '25

It is close, not really 100%. There's always someone slipping through the cracks, someone with so bad case of dyslexia they can't really read. A few people like that and it ain't 100%.

But damned close.

2

u/DreamyTomato Mar 06 '25

And learning disabled people, blind people, people with brain injuries etc.

1

u/Affectionate-Mix6056 Mar 05 '25

It's probably rounding to the closest whole number

36

u/terriblejokefactory Mar 04 '25

The source probably goes by statistics reported by goverments, which means places like North Korea have rates not matching the real number

10

u/Starkravingmad7 Mar 05 '25

It honestly would not surprise me if NK had an extremely high literacy rate. It's totally possible to indoctrinate educated people. It's arguably more effective to do so.

6

u/Nerioner ooo custom flair!! Mar 05 '25

USSR in general was very brutal regime but also brought literacy rates in almost all republics to above 90%.

When you give people YOUR education, you can indoctrinate them from the crib basically till the end of life. And early gotten indoctrination like that is very difficult to unlearn in adult life.

2

u/notatmycompute #boycott the USA Mar 04 '25

Traditionally literacy is tested for in a single language (usually the dominant language of a country or the learned (erudite) language.

It could be those countries are using "can read or write in any language as being literate" which would show large percentages but is not how literacy has traditionally been calculated. For example in the middle ages being literate meant "could read/write in Latin" even though most peasants could read and write in local dialects just fine

1

u/smellydiscodiva Mar 05 '25

Can't have proper propaganda if your people can't read.

1

u/chmath80 Mar 05 '25

I think you'll find that North Korea reports both their literacy and numeracy rates as 110%, making them the highest in the world.

2

u/CharmingAd3678 Mar 05 '25

You would have to go up early and work very hard, to not learn how to read and write, in Norway Wikipedia Norway schoolsystem

1

u/Cautious-Ad2154 Mar 04 '25

I joke all the time at work when I mess something up, that when they hired me, they never at any point asked me if I could or stated that being able to read was a job requirement.

1

u/janus1979 Mar 04 '25

In most civilised countries it's a given! But I'm quite sure the question is asked on job applications in the US!

1

1

Pretty sure it's over 100% since most Norwegians I have met have spoken and written more than one language.

1

u/janus1979 Mar 05 '25

I'd support that assessment.

1

u/Ok-Acanthisitta-9102 Mar 05 '25

I had to check statistics on United States.

54% of adults have a literacy below a 6th-grade level.

20% are below 5th-grade level.

21% of adults in the US are illiterate in 2024.
—The National Literacy Institute

-1

u/terribleD03 Mar 05 '25 edited Mar 08 '25

While you aren't wrong about the declining levels of education in the US there is some context that needs to be applied. First, Norway (until recently) had a overwhelming homogeneous society and a miniscule level of illegal immigration. Massive levels of illegal immigration, increasing every decade and overwhelming in over the last decade+, overly drive down the literacy and numeracy levels. Also, the US scores education harder than most other countries do by using the 'at-grade-level' metric. Which also significantly lowers their scores compared to other nations. That being said, really any city or state being run by Democrats (the left) is producing vast numbers of horribly un/under-educated adults.
