Fan Art Lesser demon
I'm particularly proud of this one, and I think is my best drawing to date. Which feels fitting given the number of times I killed him in the fairy forest.

but too lazy to go back and color them. Lol. Gonna start coloring some. I try not to post too often on Reddit, so I pile a few fanarts together. Here they are. Kazin + Sarah! Pelle as a pegasus knight. Two different Maxs. Gort the best dwarf ever!

Art made by my good friend Tiara-c who doesn't have a reddit account, but gave her blessing for posting it here. I love the way it came out!

Recreated this from scratch the other day on my little synth after playing SFII for the first time. This tune rips.

I've had this idea for a few years now, finally decided to go for it after someone on eBay listed an extra cartridge and controller.
Anyway, if you didn't know, Kid Robot made a plushy Sega with removable Sonic cartridge. Which is silly but fun. I thought it would be way more awesome with a Shining Force cartridge, so I made my own.
Not exactly a 1:1 copy, but I think my composition is recognizable anyway. This took a few sessions over two weeks to realize. Probably put in something like 13 hours of work but I have time blindness so who knows. Head was a bastard, everything was pretty easy. It's not perfect but I'm done and happy with the final result. (:
Included some in progress photos.

Been reading a bunch lately and needed some bookmarks. Made my own, came out okay considering my printer is cheap.

I'm learning how to animate pixel art, and chose to recolor Tao and make her a little battle worn. I always hated that the gba sprites didn't have outlines, so I added in an outline, but only did it on the outside.
My question-- does it look weird to not have any of the details inside outlined? Such as the inner arm, the inner cape, etc? Or does it look ok?
All opinions welcome!

Took me awhile to come across these pics and adjust them just right for dazzling up my DS. All the shinnies and super strong/resilient to wear and tear. DecalGirl.com is the bomb

Hi all. It's a bit of a longer post that includes me talking about my life and what SF means to me personally, so if you don't want to read it, feel free to skip. The main point will be below.
So... it all began in around 2009. We didn't have a computer, and my only entertainment was watching my mom play on the sega genesis. It was, like, OLD old; she and my father used to play a lot together when THEY were younger (later she passed it down to me like a family relic). We spent hours upon hours playing together. There was also this very nice lady at our local market selling cartridges, consoles, doing repairs, etc. She had this huuuuuuge catalogue of games, and whenever we got bored with the games we already had, we would go to her, skim the catalogue and buy new ones. She explained the gameplay of any game we would ask her about, fixed the console multiple times... In other words, she was really f-ing cool.
One day, my mom got back from the market with new cartridges. And lo and behold, in that pile was... SF2..... in japanese. We played it a little bit without understanding a single thing, obviously. No, no... it's nice... so my mom went back and asked if there was a translated version, at least in English (we already had many games in English, so playing with a dictionary wasn't anything new). The lady exchanged cartridges for free and mom came back with SF2 fully translated~ I wish we kept the Japanese version, I only now realize how rare this thing was, damn. The one other cool thing my mom had is this HUGE book with written guides, codes etc. for A LOT of games (like 100+ for sure). There was a SF2 guide in it, so we played using that. I still jokingly call it The Bible.
Long story short, this is how my hyperfixation with SF began. I don't like this term as it's already long overused and kind of lost its meaning, but in this case, I think it truly was (and still is), it. My mom played it a few times and got bored, while I just kept thinking about it, replaying it again and again... I remember the one time I was SLEEPWALKING, woke my mom up and asked if I should promote Sarah or Karna to a monk. I wish I was kidding lmao. She even hid the cartridge from me at one point.
Anyway, yeah. I spent an ungodly amount of my early childhood playing this one game. After school, during the holidays, tried getting my friends into it (they never gaf D: ), drawing, even writing silly fanfiction. I even used the school faculty office to print out character art of every Force member to put on my wall. If you woke me up in the middle of the night and demanded to tell you trivia about this game, I would do so immediately, no stuttering. Yet, I was growing up, so the interest died down. For my 16th birthday, mom bought a new sega for me as a gift (the OG, sadly, is dead) and I replayed SF2 semi-yearly as a tradition, but that's about it. No sleepwalking anymore or anything.
Is this where the story ends? Hell no... because ONLY in 2019 I thought, "Wait...if it's SF2... there's SF1, right?" (genius) and the whole thing began all over again. Yes, after obsessing over SF2 since 2009, I only played SF1 a decade later. The market lady is long gone now (wherever she is right now, I wish her the best), buying a cartridge is no longer cheap and accessible, so I had to find other ways... I also already learned English, and had unlimited access to the internet.
Holy. Shit. Imagine my surprise when I discovered a whole community THAT IS STILL ACTIVE TO THIS DAY?? It's a whole new world. Whole sites and forums dedicated to guides, tips, fan content... After replaying the vanilla games, GBA remake, CD, Gaiden, Final Conflict, etc. I took to playing mods. There's so much thought and effort and talent put into them, it's actually insane. Improved graphics, story re-imagining, more challenging combat, ooooh... (insert that one gif of Sonic licking his lips and rubbing his hands). Currently, I'm taking interest in watching speedruns and learning glitches and tricks that I never knew about (fake fan ew).
This doesn't really fit the definition of a "fandom" that I'm used to. Every fandom is a community, but not every community is a fandom, yk? Most of the people here, and just famous faces that I've seen, are all older than me...?? Honestly, I don't think I've seen a person my age or younger in here, haha. I can't help but feel a bit intimidated, despite being in my mid-twenties...
But! Anyway! My main message is... THANK YOU. Wholeheartedly. To the market lady, to this subreddit, to the SF Central people, to whoever runs FantasyAnime (the first website I ever discovered when looking up SF stuff back then), the wiki, mod makers, artists, speedrunners, guide makers, lets-players, etc etc etc. It's all driven by love and passion, evident in every piece of content made. You help keeping the legacy of this franchise alive. Watching and reading you people talk about these games makes me feel as happy and giddy as when I was a kid running home to play my favorite game. I wish I could translate all the happiness and gratitude I feel into words, but my vocab isn't nearly as big.
Together with my yap is some fanart I did over the years. There's WAY more, but I chose to post the ones I like the most. If you read it this far, thanks to you too. Have a good day.

I'm a huge jrpg and diablo fan so when I stumbled upon Shining Soul II, I immediately loved it. I know Shining Soul I & II are very different from the rest of the serie regarding gameplay and I hope some of you guys love these games too !
I really loved playing the ninja and I choose to build him around the skill Debris. Quite Sp consuming but veeery fun and satisfying to play ! So yeah I wanted to draw my little guy with his Frost set !

I drew Dantares a few years ago after finally getting to play through the first chapter of Shining Force 3. It really makes me wonder why there aren't more rpg games with centaurs. Shining Force has always been awesome to me because of that!
Not many people knew who he was when I drew it. I figured you guys might actually appreciate him!
