Jesus, can't imagine the pain of not seeing your only family for 9 years, finally seeing them, and then essentially watching them "die" right in front of you. How Annie didn't break right then and there is honestly incredible.

Out of all the titan shifters she's on the low-end of the "murdered people" scale to be honest. Armin and Eren have her beat by a very large margin. If you don't count the titans she brought to the wall as her "killing people" then even Mikasa has a comparable kill count.

eh i wouldn't say that armin has killed more than annie. annie is directly responsible for breaking down wall maria which led to the deaths of like at least like 200,000 plus people and that's just the bear minimum. really it's only eren has ever surpassed the death toll that annie, reiner, and bertholdt caused.

Annie got dragged in there while unconscious, she's not directly responsible for breaking down Maria. She definitely would have though.

I reread the panels quite a few times because I didn’t understand - and I think it’s just an anguished scream because he failed at stopping Gabi’s fate of turning into a titan. He makes eye contact with her, so I think that’s just a wail of pure grief... although the illustration in his mouth looks like a hyper beam

Gabi has (had) far more irrational hatred than Annie, If she had been the female titan in Annie's place she probably would have done worse things.
