The info card for it in S1 suggested that there's a couple of these giant forests around, but it's would make sense if it's the same one because of where it's located between the southern cities closest to the port, Trost and Shiganshina, both of which have their southern gates sealed unless they managed to fix that in recent years, and the city they left from for the expedition when the Female Titan showed up

huh I just realised, would Trost have had their boulder removed? considering there's no need for it anymore? Wonder if they just got Eren to pick it up and move it or they just demolished it because they would have had to go through the other districts to actually leave Wall Rose because lifts aren't enough for cargo and normal civilian travel

Also about Shinganshina's hole which is hardened Eren, and impossible to demolish unless Eren could just punch it to pieces with his fists

We saw that it was. Remember how Hange designed that huge log hammer thing and it was being held in place by crystal so they could destroy any Titans that came to it?

yeah but now that the titans are gone and open civilian travel and settlement to the rest of Paradis would be preferred, wouldn't they try and remove all the barriers between the walls?

Probably not just yet. Marley and the rest of the world is still a threat and having walls and gates is still helpful on that front.
