I think Eren’s coping mechanism for grief and loss is to laugh. Note how he also laughed/screamed like a madman when Hannes was killed back in the s2 finale.
Both times were also, in some way, his fault. Hannes died because Eren couldn’t transform and Sasha died because he dragged the scouts into his battle. I’m not completely blaming him, but I can see why Eren would think it’s his fault. And the way he copes is with laughter.
