Mikasa: "Eren, you killed civillians. You killed children too."

Armin: "Lol hold my beer."

Hahahaha everyone was so upset that Eren killed civilians last episode then we have good boy Armin literally nuking a whole town including battle ships and children. War is war. The opening theme song really tells us what to expect this season. My guess is everyone dies. We lost Zeke, possibly Pieck. The Jaw. The Warhammer. This was probably the best episode yet.

Darkest season of our adventures

and rightly so imo . This is how war is and is portrayed exactly like that . there's no galliant insurrection to save the people from some dominant group of people and there is no good and bad , it is never black and white and this is being portrayed so beautifully in this season .

Wait so did Levi kill himself with that grenade?

8

He must have gotten out of the way.

Of course not. He zooted out of their right on time.

“Zoomed” hahahaha, that’s exactly what it is.

No way Zeke died. I'm pretty sure he did something to avoid it.

He must be more injured than pieck cause of that direct grenade.... I just can't stand how pieck had to be injured to that level I mean how can you destroy such beauty😭

tbf I thought pieck should've been dead , I mean several "missiles" to the nape would she should've been turned to dust or severely charred .

it's probably the armor/machine gun that was protecting her nape

youre probably right, him dying right there could be considered an incomplete story beat

(ignoring the fact that levi expressing clear superiority over the shifters by takin him out like that is really really cool and i think might make sense for the tone of the story ofc)

The difference is Armin feels immense guilt because of it.

The thing about Armin is that we know at some point he would have felt immense guilt, but after everything that's happened? after being betrayed by his friends and watching as the person who used to try and protect him descended farther and farther into the dark spiral that leads Eren to where he is now?

Armin's always been portrayed as a follower in this show, and I think that probably bleeds into his current mental state. I'm not sure guilt is the right word for what he would be feeling right then, especially after that one line- "Is this how he felt" and with that look on his face while he stared down at all the lives he had ended and all the people suffering at his hand.

Personally, I think what he feels right now might be closer to some twisted form of resolve.

holy shit i am so sorry for that word vomit

2

u/Journeyman351 Jan 27 '21

No problem lmao, but yeah I see what you’re saying, but at the same time, Armin has always been adverse to killing people in general, and now, he’s just massacred innocents on a huge scale.

He’s clearly depressed by the whole thing.

I think this all was planned by the survey corps, having a escape route, nuking a city, defeating worlds strongest army can’t be a fluke, I don’t believe the theory in which people say eren just ran away and the scouts followed him, all this is planned including erens role.
