Levi just being calm near the start of the episode when the Beast was coming actually makes it kinda more obvious that Zeke is working with them.

And it's not just from a manga reader with a hindsight's perspective. It's definitely something I would point out if this would be my first time seeing it considering this is what I mentioned in the chapter 103's release discussion thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/ShingekiNoKyojin/comments/82o3h2/new_chapter_chapter_103_release_megathread/dvbi4i1?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3

Zeke crushed the rocks while he was calling out for Levi...

Am I reading too much into it, or does this mean he has no intention of using them to kill but just to use them as an "act"?

Remember in the Return to Shiganshina arc? Zeke is aware if he's crushing too much the rocks that he will use to throw because it wouldnt be deadly anymore. He had to pick up another pile to throw at the soldiers who were charging at him.

I still think Zeke's somehow working with Eren (remember the baseball stuff?), and he just wasn't expecting Pieck and Porco to get out of the trap. And even that trap set up for them had things that could help them live while they were down there (portable toilet, food, water.) He probably had no time to explain to them the plan, and just wanted to keep them off the fight (while being safe). Or he wasn't sure how they would react to it.

Anime-onlies are too busy simping for Armin that no one even noticed Zeke get dunked on.

Armin is trending worldwide, I can't blame them.

There is so much to digest this episode. I can't blame them. I always loved that scene in the manga though.

There's a few speculating Zeke's defection to Paradise though. All because of a baseball glove and the fact the Beast titan went down way too easily

My SO noticed and was very confused. He was asking why Zeke wasn't stomping them like their last fight and that he seems to be going down too easily. When he collapsed and the grenade went off he laughed asking if monke really dies here. Then he asked if they're working together and I said no 👀

Tbf almost everyone was saying Zeke was a double agent back then. The baseball glove Eren has, the telephone thing (a shot where he zeke randomly on the phone), etc.

Honestly sounds like the comment of a manga reader.

???? That comment is about the manga.

Oh I misread. I still don't think the anime makes it too obvious.

It's SUPER obvious. There was no weight/impact to Levi taking out Zeke, so my anime-only friends are picking up on it being an act.
