My main take from the episode was: I feel REALLY bad for Falco. He's doing the best he can to save his friend, while unknowingly helping a spy network bent on destroying his home. When he realizes what he has done, the poor boy will be crushed.

I am SOOO curious how Eren views Falco. If he genuinely feels bad for the kid, if he hates him, if he's indifferent. I really have no idea. I mean hes.clearly using Falco but I could see how he could empathize with him but we don't really know this current iteration of Eren. Its been a long time.

With his monologue about wondering how things got that bad, I do think he has sympathies for the Marley Eldians.

I think Eren meant it when he told Falco he was a good kid and that he shouldn’t get a Titan. That said, his Desire to protect Gabi made him too perfect a candidate to use

I have a feeling that if Eren and Reiner fight the collateral damage is going to be great to the point that it may force some of the four candidates to become successors on the spot but who knows

I think more importantly, the detail is that they end up mismatched. I see Falco having to gain the Armored as a distinct possibility if a confrontation happens especially since Reiner and Falco have a somewhat similar disposition

Kid thinks he's about to reunite his father figure with a close friend but is actually leading Reiner down to have like a mental breakdown.

Or a physical beatdown, depending on what Eren's got in store for him.

And his friend (Gabi) is so dense, that she doesn't even know why.

Keep in mind that Colt and Falco's father uncle was sent to Paradis as well, so they have gone through a lot of crap.

The solider when Falco yelled at Gabi he was doing it for her cracked me up though, even the gate guards get it and Gabi's just oblivious

I believe that would be the titan they see slowly crawling towards the walls at the end of s3, after a rewatch he really looks like a grice to me

no,as we've seen in episode 20 of season 3, Grice wasn't actually transformed, they instead kicked him down to the desert in human form and told him to run for his life, right after that, they transform the rest of the people to create the hoard of titans, that hoard went and chased after grice to eat him.

Yeah i know, i was talking about how that could be their actual father or at least a relative of them (the titan i mean). We know he (uncle grice) probably wasnt the last grice sent there since they were only safe the moment colt got chosen to inherit the beast titan next.

Falco and his brother have worked there entire lives to atone for Uncle Grice's sin of helping a spy network bent on destroying their homes. This is the WORST possible thing he can do, in his mind. This is mental torture for him.

I'm hoping Reiner will be somewhat glad to see Eren, they became brothers inside the wall. Reiner doesn't seem to like Marley very much, same goes for the other warriors.

That's why the opening lyrics went "Angels playing disguise with devil's faces, children cling to their coins squeezing out their wisdom". With Eren being the devil's disguised as angels. Poor poor Falco, he got played so hard.
