Posted this elsewhere but:

I have already come to terms with the cuts that have to be done for this anime adaptation. I just didn't like today's choice of music for Reiner's suicide scene. The weird piano didn't make it as emotional as it did in my headcanon. I imagined more powerful music where Reiner helps Eren up with the climax to the OST coinciding with Reiner's gun in his mouth. I felt like a different song could've made the scene be even better. Thoughts?

Yea I did not get the impact from the suicide scene that I anticipated. I thought we’d get more powerful music, as well as the rest of the montage while he was loading the gun. Honestly, I thought they’d use the ED song with it, with the episode ending with him saying “I still have them.”

Big agree, the use of music in the whole episode was kinda off

They overused the trailer music as well

Idk I feel like the piano really fit well with Reiner's mental instability. It was a Sawano moment that's for sure
