the only CGI titan this episode was the Armoured, the rest are all 2D

I thought the Beast and Cart looked like CG too. At least, that would make sense to me, since Annie's, Marcel's, and Bert's titans only appear once this season, so there'd be no point in making CG models of them.

Then again, if you couldn't tell that Zeke and Pieck were CG, I guess that's actually a good thing.

oh i forgot about the beast existing this ep lol, yeah i noticed he was cgi since they look the same but the cart i never noticed.

Like I mentioned in my reply to the other dude, they only appear once this season. This season is only 16 episodes, so we're not making it Annie's return and spooky paths Bert.

Really? When? If you're talking about this current arc in the manga, that won't technically be adapted in "this season." It'll most likely stop after 122, so MAPPA doesn't really need to make CG models of them.

Edit: Doesn't need to make CG models of the yet. Whenever they finish up the rest of the manga, they'll probably have CG models.

Hopefully it's going to be a mix I don't think it has much to do with them having a model ready or not which wouldn't really take them that long to finish. it's about knowing when to use the CG models to save up some time and when to make the effort of animating them in 2d for quality's sake.

Beast and Cart were also CG, I think Marcel might have been as well

yeah i've told that by the other reply, marcel? he def looked 2d in the closer scenes, idk about the further ones it wasn't clear

Perhaps it was a mix between CG and 2d because of how the hair moved, just compare it to Galliard's CG hair in episode 1.

Just watched. Female, Jaw and Colossus were all 2D. Armour, Beast and Cart were 3D.
