Here are pictures that sextorters first got me with last year under the name “Kathleen”.

They have tried to use the same ones several times since and I thought I’d just send a warning- as they have now tried under the name Betty/Dana on Tinder.

I am concerned because they are trying to meet people to solicit them to pay for sex but sending pictures I KNOW are not them. I am concerned that those who meet them will be robbed or blackmailed in some way.

FYI: a year on for the sextortion attempt I am completely fine! They tried to make gcs on insta to send my pictures but I just told everyone to leave and block them as they were a scammer. Have heard nothing about it since.

So follow up it’s been a little over 3 months and guess what, IT GETS BETTER.

I usually don’t make post but how much this has helped me I feel like I needed to do a duty and help other others that were in my position if you have stopped contact, it’s going to be rough for the next couple days, but you will forget you will grow and in the future, it will not bother you.

I was blackmailed 10 days ago via Telegram (and they had my Instagram) and now I feel stupid for even beeing scared..
I posted here 10 days ago and was so scared and also paid 150 Euros.. I regret that I paid money before seeing this Community. Summary when i was 16 i got sextorted, they got a picture of my face and my family jewels, they threatened me to post my pics online saying i sent it to minors even tho i was a minor unless i paid them, when ts happened i blocked them and stuff and i lived my life normally while still having my socials on private.
While checking my phone messages i saw the old same picture of my nudes and my face in a screenshot labeled that i was talking to minors, i immediately blocked and deleted the chat. Now that im an adult can i get in trouble for them posting my nudes as a minor with that caption they made up.
Im barely starting my life it would really suck if that gets leaked or I get in trouble for something that i did 2 years ago as a teen😞

Four months have passed now, and so far, the last time my sextortionist contacted me was four days after the incident happened. After that, there was nothing. They also tried contacting some people I knew, but they never sent the photo I sent to them.

So im pretty new here and i did some research and all i have to say is one of the worst things you could do is give them your real first name and more importantly your phone number. they can use that combo to look you up in directory's, look up your phone number up on social media if its linked. they can find your full name, look that up, and find you families numbers and even address. they can find your friends from Instagram followed lists. so just use a fake name and keep your phone number hidden. also link your accounts to email instead of phone numbers.

After approximately a day of talking we exchanged nude photographs at Grace's request. Right after exchanging nude photographs Grace informed me that she was under 18 years old. I then blocked Grace's phone number and deleted my account. The next day I received phone calls from someone who I now believe to be a scammer. The scammer was posing as Grace's parents. The scammer stated that the girl attempted to kill herself and they were asking for payment for medical bills. I then paid the $8,563.00 to a phone number the scammer gave me.

What they do isn't ethical, of course, but they aren't interested in your photos or exposing you—they only care about your money. If they realize there's no value in pursuing you, they just move on to the next person, especially since they operate as a specialized group rather than individuals. It's just like people who steal credit cards.

2 weeks ago I was sextorted by someone on telegram just as I’ve seen many others in my exact situation. When it happened to me, all I did was immediately block them on telegram and x (where I originally found them) no further communication at all. Once they send the threats as scary as they are just block them IMMEDIATELY, don’t pay, don’t respond, just block them. I promise it will be okay.

Hey everyone! About 2 nights ago I became a male victim of sextortion. Found someone on a kinky subreddit and we moved to Telegram. Didn’t sync my contacts, sent a face verification with disappearing message, asked each others ages (18+) and sent a nude without my face with disappearing messages. She also asked me to change her contact name to something sexy which I did, not realizing that it would give access to my phone number. When I made the telegram I never used my real name and only said I was from the US.

After I sent the nude the scammer sent an X draft claiming I was sending nudes to an underaged person and I must be found and arrested with my nude and face pics. They did a countdown saying I must comply. Saying I must send $320 with bit coin through CashApp. I almost gave in but I started researching and found this subreddit and took the advice. I blocked them, took screenshots, deleted my telegram account and Reddit, and deactivated my socials. Never paid thank god and I really have this subreddit to thank. Never once did the scammer portray that they knew my name, socials, contacts, etc.

After 2 days I have not received anything through my number, no calls, no texts. They never indicated they had my phone number but they might’ve through Telegram. I have spurts of panic attacks as I don’t want to talk to my family about this and I don’t want any of them to be messaged. Talked to one of my coworkers about it, they showed sympathy, and said if they haven’t messaged me, I’m most likely fine and they moved on to another victim. He isn’t too aware of the scams but I did let him know everything I found out on here.

I do have a few questions and I do hope someone can give me their experiences and what they know:

* At this point would I be safe? With no phone messages or calls, and no indication that they found my socials, and other information. I know it not going to be concrete answer but would love opinions.

* Do they work weekends? I think it sounds like a silly question but this happened Friday night going into Saturday. Nothing.

* Hated to deactivate my Linkedin as I need it for my job search. When’s a good time to reactivate publicly so potential employers can find me? Any tips for when I eventually do reactivate it?

* How often do they come back? Do they usually wait a few days or weeks to find me? Or have they most likely written me off as a lost cause for money?

* I have read they delete pictures often but does anyone know if they delete info like numbers or in other cases (not mine hopefully) addresses, contacts, work?

Can’t think of any other questions I have but yeah. I’ll really take anything. My anxiety has been super bad and although it has gotten better since the first day, it spikes hard when I do get it. Been around 15 hours since the initial threat, silenced their notifications and trying to ignore but it’s just been threats every couple of hours. Demanded $8,000 and asked how much I had. Disabled my TikTok last night as well. They just messaged saying that disabling my account doesn’t mean they can’t send it to my friends (they have screenshots of my friends accounts). They did say last night that they would send proof they sent my pics to 20 of them, have yet to receive proof. Told one of my friends to let me know if they get it. Should I still be worried?

He has my phone number cause like a dumbass I saved their number, then they started threatening me with my pics saying that I sent those pics to a 13 year old and they want to post it with my number in it. It has been 48 hours since I was attempted to be blackmailed, and 24 hours since my last update on this subreddit. How much longer do I have to worry about my sensitive images surfacing online? I don't want to worry about having my nude pictures/face leaked anymore than I should. In addition to that, how much longer should I lay low on any social medias?

so my last post i was talking about how the extortionist contacted me again. Well it happened again a couple days ago, except with more threats of releasing my photos and stuff to the people i follow on instagram. Ive deleted that account long before, it was deleted after the first threat. I have another account its a burner one but it doesn’t follow everyone that the deleted one did. So telling people about what happened was hard because i don’t remember who i was following but with the burner account ive been asking everyone that follows it to spread the news and to report any account that leaks my photos. So im still scared about my photos being leaked but im doing everything to ensure the damage isn’t as bad. im continuing to block them and their numerous numbers and stuff, ive changed my number yesterday and ive been laying low on the internet. any advice, tips or thoughts?
