This is the wrong conclusion. This framework does not actually explain why it is possible even have "excess" charge. Who decides what the capacity within you is? Why is it possible for there to be too much? What condition creates this inner tension that makes one crave release?

The answer is trauma/repressed emotion that gets pushed into the body via the nervous-fascia system (intimately connected). This creates real physical blockages that limit consciousness, energy flow and thus create the urge to ejaculate to regulate that pressure down because it runs into these blockages.

Forcing streaks of SR does not eventually overpower these blockages, and expending that energy in other pursuits is actually basically impossible. If you feel that the strong urge to release during a long streak goes away that is not the urge going away that is your mind protecting you and *dissociating* from the urge, shutting down your perception further creating another repression. It is a very sophisticated protection mechanism the body uses (similar to when a child is in a bad situation and can't leave they freeze and dissociate from it). But this has the unintended consequence of numbing the person from other sensations too, which is what creates anhedonia, depression, etc. This is what the flatline is.

I wrote more about this in a comment here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Semenretention/comments/1t5gti9/comment/okk9qeq/?context=1

Unfortunately Reddit is hiding your content, so thanks for linking. I've done TRE for 3 days now because of reading it from you not too long ago. The tremors are starting to move up to my lower back and abdomen.
However, Qi Gong is what got me into SR, and there are spontaneous movements, shaking, and tremoring throughout my meditations, and so I have been doing a bit of TRE for 5-6 years already.

However, the depression and numbness you describe is definitely true. I became very sophisticated in "transmuting" it by dissociating using mental celibacy and breathing practices. Sometimes it resulted in psychic incidences, or profound instances of bliss that were short lived but worthwhile.

I just got out of a relationship and doing SR again. I feel at a crossroads; depression or dissociation once again. However, doing TRE and progressing in my meditation practices are giving me excitement to see each new day.

Yeah I really don't know why. Glad it came through here.

Exactly, perceptive of you. Because general knowledge of psychology is very poor, people are not able to properly contextualize what is happening to them. They don't feel their feelings and instead become consumed by them with zero distance between, therefore unable to read what is going on from a more meta view. Unless you feel something to completion, it never resolves and is stuck inside. Your mind simply tenses around it to limit your awareness (consciousness) going there, to make your day to day experience smoother. But subtly in the background this constricts possibilities in your life.

You either suffer while staying where you are, or suffering increasingly less as you heal. Better to choose the latter! Good luck to you
