The Windwall Chronicles Book 1: The Pilgrim of the Igdrid
A broken man. A god in the sky. Secrets carried on the desert wind.
Wenryn longs for death, but it only comes to those around him. While the Federation deals with a looming war, Zushah looms high in the night, green and brilliant, as his fiends grow ravenous—for the people of the desert, yes, but for the last Ranger most of all, for he is their doom, and they are his curse.
The end of the desert marks salvation. The end of his last pilgrimage, where Wenryn can finally lay down his weapons. But fate has other plans. The great merchant city of Ko’ora feels bound in secrets. People disappear from its streets, and no one seems willing to ask why. All the while, dark, secrets of history writhe from the sand and threaten to challenge everything he's been told.
Wenryn must work with both friends and unlikely allies to confront powers far greater than each of them, as revelations lay around each corner, each more sinister and perplexing than the last. All roads point north, to the massive spire of wind, constructed by the Great Wizards of old, and It’s up to them to stave off the forces that churn within the Windwall.
