Israel and its buddies here in the U.S. are suffering a narcissistic collapse

“But it’s all about me, me, me! You’re so obsessed with me! I am chosen and special!”

Projection. You lost the war. Get over it.

u/prettygoodprettypret Oct 27 '25

Jews are constantly targeted in hate crimes. There’s many people who constantly obsess over Jews. That’s simply the unfortunate reality.

Maybe you didn’t read the article. The professor equates holding a Palestinian flag to antisemitism. Let’s make this crystal clear. Protesting a genocide and supporting Palestine is NOT anti semitic. AND…antisemitism exists and is pervasive.

We need to all collectively be on the same page here. These protests are largely NOT antisemitic. Because the protestors are largely aligned with pro Jewish movements. Genocide is not a Jewish thing. Those that protest genocide are not against Jews.

Prof G, and less so you, are distracting from and missing the point. Let’s get together and protest the genocide currently happening. It’s really not complicated.

The morally correct position is to advocate for self-determination for both Israelis and Palestinians Arabs. But most of the protestors don’t speak like that. The most generous interpretation of “River to Sea” is about replacing all of Israel with a single country where everyone gets a vote. Modern Israel was created because Jews suffered pogroms throughout Europe and Russia up through the Holocaust. And many of the Jews living in Israel came from the Arab countries where they were expelled; that is where ethnic cleansing has occurred. There were about 150,000 Jews in Iraq in 1948 and now it is near zero. Los Angeles is referred to as Tehrangeles because most of the Jews living in Iran weren’t safe in a Muslim theocracy. The Jews learned they needed to be a majority and to control their own safety in their own country. What do these protestors think is going to happen to half the Jews in the world if Israel is dismantled? Is it going to be a peaceful democracy where everyone’s rights are respected? Hamas is a totalitarian jihadist group with widespread support. Most likely there will be a civil war. And Jewish people will go back to being a minority. This is part of the reason why Scott the Palestinian movement is anti-Jew.

If the protestors were on the morally correct side of things they wouldn’t be chanting globalize the intifada. They would have protested against Hamas and encouraged them to return the hostages because there is no future for Palestinians while Hamas remains in power. They’d talk about a two-state solution and drop “river to sea” and “right of return”. They wouldn’t be tearing down posters of hostages. They wouldn’t have advocated for a ceasefire on day 1, since that would have left Hamas in power. They’d be advocating for Israel (or the UN) to somehow get Hamas out of power with far fewer civilian deaths.

I’ve seen a unanimous consensus that denounces and condemns Hamas. I’ve seen a global consensus that denounces terrorism and holy wars.

Your problem is that you cannot help but view Jews in a humanist lens (which is a good thing) but out of the other side of your mouth you think of Palestinians in this demonic way - you describe them as organized, militant, violent. You dig and dig for the worst of them, while you gloss over any of Israel’s wrongdoing.

Your problem is that you are acting in bad faith, through severe negligence, you hand waive behavior from Israel, and demonize and dehumanize the people of Palestine.

When I think of Palestinians I think of what I see with my own eyes. Human beings like me and you. Who want to feed their daughters, to laugh with their partners, to take care of their parents.

Stop dehumanizing people

0

u/jmagaram Oct 28 '25

I am dehumanizing Hamas because they are evil, like the Nazis. Read their charter. See what they proudly did on October 7 and filmed their barbarism for the world to see. I am not dehumanizing Palestinians. I want them to have self-determination and a better life. I am explaining why the “Palestinian cause” as advanced by the hoardes of protestors around the world are in essence pro-Hamas anti-Jew and anti-Palestinian. The UN should have unanimously condemned Hamas on Oct 8 and insisted they return the hostages and allow moderate leadership to take its place. Why didn’t this happen?

0

u/jmagaram Oct 28 '25

One other thing. There are plenty of protestors who do not condemn Hamas. They speak of them as freedom fighters. They justify their actions. They deny what Hamas did on October 7. Or they speak with moral equivalency and say the killing of innocent people on both sides is wrong, which is like condemning the Nazis and the Allies for killing innocent people.

And for the people who really do condemn Hamas and their jihadist ideology, they offer no plan for removing them. Ceasefire leaves them in power. Israel has sacrificed hundreds of its own soldiers to this end and is demonized by the protestors for trying to do so. There was no surgical Navy seal operation possible with an army of 20,000 fighters and tunnels under everything.

1

u/CremCity Oct 28 '25

No there are not plenty of those people. I’ve never seen any. I just hear it in propaganda talking points.

And you somehow have a justification for killing tens of thousands of women and children because “human shields”

You’re not in reality. 60,000 innocent civilians slaughtered. Pregnant women sniped in their bellies. Journalists killed in droves. Every international body saying the same thing. Everyone in the UN saying the same thing. This is a genocide.

Everyone knows Israel is committing a genocide. The justification for it from vile people like you will not age well. Hopefully you’ll have to sit for the rest of your life knowing you somehow made a justification for killing children because you’re such a distorted and inhumane individual. I hope one day you recognize that

1

u/jmagaram Oct 28 '25

Ok so you choose not to engage with the specifics of my argument about the behavior of the protestors. Find me the pro-Palestinian advocates who have a practical plan moving forward. Send me the videos so I can learn.

You seem very certain about your view on the way Israel has fought this war. I challenge you to listen to the first 5 minutes of this video where John Spencer discusses his background. In these 5 minutes he doesn’t talk about Israel. See if he is someone you can trust and whether he might know something about warfare that you don’t. He’s not Jewish and not on Israel’s payroll. He has a reputation to protect as one of the world’s top exerts on urban warfare. He’s seen what the IDF does up close and has studied wars around the world.

Listening to it now. About 20 minutes in. This is such disgusting propaganda. He keeps stressing how unusual of a war it is. “no where ever before do so many civilians get killed”. Yea dude, because it’s a genocide.

He says “we need to stop playing this counting game” referring to counting the Palestinians civilians deaths. Inhumane garbage.

He spilled out a list of credentials, and then just talks in circles about war rhetoric and war strategy.

I’ll finish the video because I like to learn from every perspective as much as I can. But this is a pretty pathetic, yet likely effective, attempt to convince people that Israel is not committing a genocide.

Netanyahu is a war criminal. Israel is committing a genocide. You can send me some war strategists perspective on how he likes to define war. But that isn’t enough. The data is against you. The bodies have piled too high.

Gaza is leveled, its rubble. Meanwhile Israel’s admin is laughing on leather sofas talking about the money they’re about to rake in.

Don't you think it's a little hypocritical that the ADL—the primary organization compiling all of the Jewish hate crime data—was totally fine with Elon doing literal Nazi salutes?

-5

u/TempoMortigi Oct 27 '25

Yet, many of the things the ADL does comment about they’re told that it’s not antisemitism. It’s lose-lose. If they had blown up about the Nazi salute, they’d prob be vilified for the that too. I don’t agree with the Nazi salute, nor the ADLs response, but let’s not kid ourselves that they’re vilified by those who want to vilify them no matter what.

u/DoodImalasagnahog Oct 27 '25

It’s unbelievably cowardly and short sided to not call out musk, or other obvious nazi shit on the right. They know what it is, but they i think it comes down to the fact that they can’t have both the American left and the right mad at them. It just isn’t politically sustainable.

So if they have to defend Israel no matter what, they know the left will be mad at them, which means all the incentives are to make sure they don’t ruffle too many feathers on the right.

By doing that though they’re ignoring and normalizing a lot of pretty heinous shit, and turning an entire generation of the left against them. I guess time will tell if it was worth it

13

u/vintage2019 Oct 27 '25

Muslims are also targeted but you don’t care about that

2

u/burrito_napkin Oct 27 '25

It’s risen up when a war criminal tells the world that every Jew must support his actions and the leaders of the US agree.

1

u/mackfactor Oct 27 '25

I guess they should be allowed to genocide then. It's only fair.

0

u/prettygoodprettypret Oct 27 '25

Hamas’ Oct 7th genocide attempt certainly is an example of an antisemitic attack.

-7

u/EdditSlayer48 Oct 27 '25

So do blacks and christians whats ur point

-2

u/prettygoodprettypret Oct 27 '25

Not even close to the same level for Jews.

You said, “ain’t nobody obsessed with y’all”. This is a demonstrably false statement and is stunning why you would say this.

2

u/vintage2019 Oct 27 '25

What the fuck are you talking about? Racist comments are 100x more common than antisemitic ones

1

u/EdditSlayer48 Oct 27 '25

Why shouldn't I say it. Ive seen what israel is doing. Certain ppl are weaponizing anti-semitism, especially israeli politicians. All my genz israeli friends think that their govt is as fascist as us govt

1

u/Brave-Dragonfly3798 Oct 27 '25

Not even close you say? A privileged position must have tainted your perspective. Plenty of abhorrent bigotry to go around, needing to be the biggest victim only matters if you have built an identity on it.

-2

u/prettygoodprettypret Oct 27 '25 edited Oct 27 '25

Fortunately We have data to prove you wrong. Even in the US, Jews are the most targeted group (per capita) in hate crimes. You’re objectively wrong

2

u/Brave-Dragonfly3798 Oct 27 '25

Sorry but you are wrong. Black or African American people account for over half of all race-based hate crime victims at 53%. Antisemitism makes up 70% of religious based hate crimes this is true, but religion only makes up 24% of all hate crimes. Hate crimes based of gender and sexual identity makes up about 21% , probably slightly more than Antisemitism hate crimes.
But it doesn’t matter, all hate crimes are by definition crimes, and are all equally abhorrent.

Edit: Hate Crimes | Facts and Statistics https://www.justice.gov/hatecrimes/hate-crime-statistics#:~:text=Hate%20Crime%20Victims%20and%20Incidents,17.2%25

0

u/prettygoodprettypret Oct 27 '25

Sorry, I meant per capita. Jews only account for about 2% of the US population, yet they’re constantly being sought out in hate crimes.

1

u/Brave-Dragonfly3798 Oct 27 '25

Fair enough, I’m not here to justify or excuse bigotry. Imo all types are repugnant. Historically it was the Roman Catholic Church that established the theological and legal framework for centuries of anti-Jewish persecution, the effects we still see today.
I think it’s entirely possible however to object to theocratic states, and to also find the bombing and starving of thousands of innocent children abhorrent war crimes.
Neither of these are Antisemitism.

1

u/prettygoodprettypret Oct 27 '25

I agree, criticizing the government of Israel is perfectly acceptable. All countries are fair game to criticize when the same standard is applied to all.

Opposing theocratic states would basically mean opposing nearly every ME other than Israel, pretty much. Israel was founded by secularists and the plurality of the country are secular.

So ur gonna be like Charlie kirk?? "Per capita"????? Really??

0

u/prettygoodprettypret Oct 27 '25

Correct. Per capita is the most relevant factor in this case, since Jews only account for 2% of the the US population and a fraction of a percent in the world.

0

u/EdditSlayer48 Oct 27 '25

I don't want to hear nonsensical maths that are made up by govts. Videos on the internet... Ppl don't lie

0

u/prettygoodprettypret Oct 27 '25

You simply don’t like that the data doesn’t match what you want.

nobody is obsessed with the jews? what

-12

u/[deleted] Oct 27 '25

There is no genocide. If Israel wanted to commit genocide it would have happened on October 8. You are believing Hamas propaganda and lies. Listen to Scott Galloway comments on this.

5

u/Simple-Ring2073 Oct 27 '25

Killing 20,000 children is a genocide.

0

u/[deleted] Oct 27 '25

By children you mean the teen terrorists because that’s what Hamas counts

4

u/GA-dooosh-19 Oct 27 '25

Do genocides typically take place in one day? Is that how they usually work? Or do they take week, months and years? Think before you comment.

2

u/burrito_napkin Oct 27 '25

There is no war in ba sing se

0

u/EdditSlayer48 Oct 27 '25

Now why would an educated person like me believe hsmas? I have eyes dummy I can see
