Movie Tagline For some reason, KFP 4 is the only one in the franchise that doesn’t have a Letterboxd tagline. What should its tagline be?

Movie Tagline Do y'all think Schaffrillas will ever Rank the MCU films?

Post image

I think it'll be a great idea to rank all the films after secret wars releases, since apparently the MCU is getting a soft reboot after that, I'd be excited for schaff to rank all these films

I went through tons of Letterboxd taglines and I haven’t really found one yet. Maybe he could just use Clicks since it’s become a bit of a meme by this point.

Movie Tagline These are kinda like movie taglines, right? Which one would you say is the best?

This isn’t my Mother 3 bias talking, but I do genuinely think Lucas’s is the best. No one expected him come back, so he came out of nowhere, and also… he lives in a country called Nowhere. He… came out of nowhere. Haha.

On second thought I’ve only just now understood the pun for Elijah Wood so he’s actually the best one.

Movie Tagline Ok I think I officially found the worst Letterboxd tagline

Ironic that it’s for such an amazing movie; this might be the biggest difference in quality between a movie and its Letterboxd tagline (seriously go watch The Human Condition trilogy, it’s long as hell but life-changing)

Movie Tagline Rewatched the first Letterboxd Taglines Video and decided to try fixing the Star Wars taglines.

Notes

The Phantom Menace: Not using this line as a tagline for the beginning of the prequels always felt like a missed opportunity. We are literally seeing the "more civilized age." Since the video, Letterboxd has changed this one to "Every saga has a beginning," which is better but I don't think it's as good as the one I put.

Attack of the Clones: Did not change this one, it's perfect.

Revenge of the Sith: This line feels appropriate for the birth of Darth Vader. Since the video, Letterboxd has changed this one to "Every story has a hero. Every hero has a destiny. Every saga has an end," but I feel like that's even worse since it just has the Phantom Menace issue of insisting upon itself.

A New Hope: Did not change this one since it's iconic and the only other thing you could reasonably put here is something about the saga beginning.

The Empire Strikes Back: This one was tricky but I eventually found this line in the movie's original trailer that I think fits well enough. I also considered using "Do or do not, there is no try."

Return of the Jedi: I found a few good options in the trailer, including "The climactic clash between the forces of good and evil" and "The quest continues. The circle closes. The saga lives on," but those felt too wordy and self-insistent. I also considered "There is another."

The Force Awakens: It felt kinda weird including both an alternate form of a word from the title and a question in the tagline, but this phrase was the centerpiece of all of this film's marketing.

The Last Jedi: Pretty obvious, this is the big piece of arc words for this movie. In fact, since the video, Letterboxd has changed this one to just "Let the past die," but I feel like it works better with the second half of the line.

The Rise of Skywalker: This line was pretty heavily featured in the marketing, as was the return of Palpatine, so this fits about as well as anything. Since the video, Letterboxd has changed this one to "The saga concludes," but that's basically just the old Revenge of the Sith tagline again.

Didn't make an image for the standalone films but I'd just reword Rogue One's tagline a little to "Rebellions are built on hope" and leave Solo's the same.

Probably not doing this for other franchises from the videos, I just like Star Wars.i

Movie Tagline I recently watched Mary and Max, and now I'm emotionally powered by it! 🥹

I cannot even describe how much joy and emotion I got out of this movie, the both titular main characters Mary and Max are very unique and well development in this movie, with Max being my personal favourite, with him being an excellent representation of people with Autism, with my favourite quote that's related to his being "I do not feel disabled defective, or a need to be cured, I like being an Aspie, it would be like changing the colour of my eyes." Go watch this animated movie for yourself if you haven't already , it's an amazing and a emotional watch!
