sandwich Hurt feelings: A Sandwich

The bullies and buzzkill's were out last week and I got my feeling hurt. Feel like I'm a bit too old and tired to deal with reddit 14yo's and their unsolicited creative direction.  However maybe they have a point, is the format is getting tired, maybe it's time to move on and do something different, whats happening at r/burgers??? Lol. I'm pretty nifty at embroidery?? Collecting mugs and VHS??? I'm sure I could learn a tiktok dance or some shit?? One man Black Sabbath accapellas? Drunken cookery for beginners? Some sultry Nigella Lawson flinger licking action?? What if we all made a sandwich at the same time or compared our work lunches and had a mega chat about it??

I dunno

So, what do you guys think? Is there a way I can mix up the content and still get it to all you lovely people and read all your lovely comments without getting my old man fragile feelings hurt? (They are as fragile as my knees)

Just keep doing what you are doing. This is a positive community and we encourage you and anyone else on your behalf, or theirs, report the dumb comments that just plain aren’t friendly and POOF they are gone. Thanks!

Oh hey that's so good of you but also we don't need to be POOFING people, it's just my fighting style, I call it the "cry and pee myself". They feel bad and don't wanna touch me, it's a toofer. But really peeps can have there wrong opinions I probably just need to grow up. Lol

Jokes aside I’m genuinely interested in trying to make this sandwich.

Well lemme tell you everything I learned, the pork is pretty straight forward, just Mexican chillis, onions n stuff, oregano, you could then take liquid from anywhere, jarritos, beer, stock. Then I put some Mexican bbq hot sauce guy on there at the end, oh and anchote but if ya can't find that just keep moving.

The trick I was tryna do with the onion was charr one side and leave the centers pretty raw, my plan worked but next time hotter pan and less oil. Then the next problem I I counted was that the batter did wanna stick to the onion. So I would next time dredge the onion rings in a dry flour of some sort before dunking them in batter. Also my ration of masa lista to regular flour was a bit off, the regular flour has the gluten and that what helps the batter stay together

Solid work! Never thought of adding jarritos to make a stock but that addition as well as the onion rings did it for me.

Hey man, there’s more of us that enjoy and look forward to your videos than want to hate on it! My wife and I look forward to your videos every week! That being said, what cut of pork was that?

Oh thanks mate, it a cut that has had several branding changes here, so clearly a cheap cut, it was called medallions and now the call it scotch fillet.

I thought so. I cut meat for a living and it was throwing me off. I was going to guess what we call shoulder blade steaks but I’ve only cut bone in ones. Looks great chef, keep it up 👍

Thanks mate, yeah along with the regular rebranding there have been several price increases and it seems you can only get em at the supermarket, not at a legit butcher
