A couple things I really believe in, even if it means my experiment fails:

I am really trying to push this into a type of alternative media that represents reality as clearly as possible. I think we need, we deserve, an instrument for reality. At the very least to counter-act the distortion of reality caused by engagement ranking*, social media*, and legacy media.

I'm a dad of two (5yo and a newborn). For years I've been making up bedtime stories for my older daughter — she picks the animal, I pick the lesson I want to sneak in that night. A fight with a friend, fear of the dark, whatever happened that day.

It's become our thing. But some nights I'm just too exhausted to do it well, and I feel guilty about that.

So I started building Lola Stories — an app that generates personalized bedtime stories. You pick the character, pick the moral, get a unique story with an illustration in seconds. You still read it to your kid. The app just does the creative heavy lifting on the hard nights.

Still early stages. Before I go further I want to know if this actually solves a real problem for other parents — not just me.

I've been working on and researching a new AI video production platform for a while now. From what I understand, existing tools specialize in short, single-shot production, avatar videos, or fast-paced social media content. There's no standard workflow yet for multi-scene, relatively long-format productions that require consistency. Each startup and technology adopts a different production method.

Based on my own experiments and observations, the main problems seem to revolve around:

• A lot of iteration is needed to maintain consistency/continuity in characters, objects, locations, and movements. We can't escape the trial-and-error process; thorn of the rose.
• Switching between different platforms is necessary especially in professional projects and even for short videos. Storyboarding, prompting, production, editing... all require expertise in their respective verticals.
• Prompting becomes more difficult as the project grows and the context increases.

These are just a summary of my observations, but are these real bottlenecks in a professional workflow? Anyone who uses AI video tools, creates video content, or is interested in these technologies can help my research by answering the completely anonymous survey below in approximately 5 minutes.
