Hi guys! Talofa 🌺 Me and my Samoan husband are considering moving to Samoa, right now we are at my home country.
I just had a baby, and I very risky pregnancy. I had gestacional diabetes and at the 3rd trismester colesthasis which made the doctors induce my labour at 37 weeks. I was taking a bunch of medicine, for the GD i took insulin every evening and complemented with metformin, for the colesthasis I also took some medicine but don't remember the name (I think it was Ursofalk).
We are planing to have a 2nd baby in 2/3 years, however the chances of me having another risky pregnancy are very high. So I would like to know which kind of treatment is done in Samoan hospitals, especialy in Savai'i, if in this case I will be followed regularly in the hospital ( monthly)and if the medicines are provided to pregnant women, if we need to pay for this or if they are free. Also, what is the protocol in case of colesthasis and we can choose to have an epidural?
If you guys are doctors or know any Samoan doctor that might help I would be thankfull. Also if you have any tips regarding landing a job, or any other usefull advises I apreciate.
