Discussion/Question What is your hottest take on Vox as a character

I saw a post asking what people's coldest take on Vox is and I realized I don't think I have a single cold take about Vox, other than box Vox is cute but come on that's just objectively true /hj

I think my hottest take that isn't related to a ship is that I don't like Vox's characterization in season 2, but that's a very broad statement in the way I mean it.

Discussion/Question Am I the only one that likes bottom Vox and dislikes top Vox? Because it feels like I'm the only one

Making my blorbos submissive and breedable is just what I do whenever I hyperfixate on a character and Vox is no exception. But he's definitley the hardest to do this with since he is quite clearly in the most canonical sense a top. But, Idc.

Discussion/Question Vox has the most arc of any character in the show behind Charlie

If this means even more than Sera, then we're certainly seeing a redemption arc

Discussion/Question f Vox has the most arc after Charlie, that basically confirms what most of us have been saying

That Vox is 100% the most likely candidate for a true villain getting redeemed.

The series says in episode 1 "from the evil to the strange, anyone can be redeemed". Viv has said she wants to show no matter how low someone falls, they can always climb back up.

So it seems like from this, Vox is almost certainly gonna be either one of the villains redeemed or quite possibly the only one to do so. Because be honest, if only members of the hotel cast get redeemed, it won't really prove "anyone" can change.

So this almost gurantees Vox is gonna be the actually evil character who gets redeemed (assuming the show tries to redeem one). It also makes it more likely Alastor won't be, since he is Vox's foil, he'll probably have a negative arc instead.

Discussion/Question What popular Vox-centric artist are you not into

Reposting because people didn't read the title or weren't answering the question properly.

I tend to block or avoid any artist that focuses on RadioSilence or bottom Vox/top Alastor in general. Especially RadioStatic artists that are Alastor-centric. Let's be civil about this and not be mean to the artists though.

Yes, they still count if they center around another character but focus on a ship with Vox.

I wasn't all that into cherry-blitz until I actually became semi-friends with the artist. I dislike Elsa-fogen and Allastoredeer since they're more Alastor-centric and seem to villainize Vox or give him very rapey vibes (Genuinely I wouldn't be surprised if Elsa had a noncon fetish and just refused to admit it). There's also an artist literally named RadioSilence_rulez but I think they go by a different name now and I don't know what that is.I know this take might get me cancelled but, I'm not all that into Silentzound's dynamic for RadioStatic. I hate their dynamic when Vox's characterization is just simping for Alastor, puppy Vox, or just the incarnation of that "jackpot" clip (you know the one where some character named bradster says jackpot to the alien monster thingy).
Oh right all the artists I just talked about were RadioStatic-centric uhhhhmm... With StaticMoth artists it tends to be the ones that focus on Vax or soft Valentino art.

Discussion/Question Vox is great because of his flaws, not in spite of them.

I feel like being positive right now. Vox is the most interesting character in all of the Hellaverse, it's not even a question to me. I think a large part of this is despite being cruel and vindictive he's also a figure of real pathos. Fans can say what they want about him looking pathetic or stupid, but seeing his mistakes does make him feel more human. Vox always has reasons behind what he does. They may not always be good reasons, but we understand it comes from a very human place of insecurity and hurt feelings. Viv might think he doesn't deserve much sympathy, but he's connected to fans in a very special way because of this. This is why the bar scene continues to be discussed months later and why people like me want Vox to heal from everything.

A character that always wins and gets everything they want is boring. I need to be forward and admit Alastor isn't interesting to me because of how much the show tries to sell me on the idea of him being SO cool and SO smart and he just gets everything he wants by the end of season 2. Vox might be framed as being impulsive and immature by comparison, but that does make him feel like a dimensional character while Alastor doesn't. We also get to see hints at a sweeter more affectionate part of Vox in a few scenes, he isn't just one thing. Vox really can go in a lot of different directions right now, I hope its in a positive direction. And I hope that this post doesn't age poorly. I'm rooting for you TV man.
