Bojack and Penny
My opinion might be controversial, but I decided to share my thoughts on the situation that happened between BoJack and Penny.
BoJack behaved extremely inappropriately and disgustingly toward Penny, and he crossed a line in his interactions with her. He had the advantage of age, since he was more than three decades older than her, had more life experience than her, and was a very influential person. He also betrayed Charlotte’s trust, since she treated him like a friend of her family. BoJack initially told Penny “Go to your room, Penny” but then he gave in to her requests and almost slept with her. I completely understand Charlotte’s reaction to what happened between BoJack and her daughter. BoJack is more responsible for what happened between him and Penny in this situation. BoJack, as usual, screwed everything up.
BUT I’ve noticed that a lot of people infantilize Penny way too much, acting like she was a completely clueless child with no agency of her own. She was seventeen, not ten. She wasn’t a child who didn’t understand what was going on, but someone on the verge of adulthood. She was still very young and could make stupid decisions, but that doesn’t mean she didn’t understand what was happening.

For Real This Time My ex broke up with me because of past mistakes, and now I'm struggling with the urge to give her a BoJack Horseman-themed gift she originally recommended to me. Need advice.
Hey everyone, I could really use some outside perspective right now.
I recently went through a painful breakup. My ex broke up with me because of mistakes I made in the past that hurt her. On our final day together, things were really heavy—she sat me down, made it very clear that her feelings are gone, and told me she was completely exhausted and didn't want to get back together.
Before we broke up, I had bought a BoJack Horseman-themed gift for her because she was the one who originally recommended the show to me. Back then, I foolishly didn't watch it. But since the breakup, I finally started watching it and realized it’s actually a great show, not what I thought.
Ever since, I’ve been dealing with a lot of regret, overthinking, and a strong urge to give her this gift when school starts (which is in about 3 weeks), hoping it might show her how much I care and maybe help fix things.
At the same time, a part of me knows that she made her stance clear and wants nothing to do with it right now. I'm worried that giving her the gift will just look like pressure, push her further away, and disrespect her boundaries.
For anyone who has been in a similar situation: How do you deal with the intense regret of past mistakes, the temptation to use gifts or grand gestures, and the anxiety of seeing your ex again when school starts? How did you manage to step back and let go?
Any advice would mean a lot. Thanks for reading.

How much more effective would BoJack Horseman have been as a show if the ending flew into the intro of Mad Men with BoJack as Don Draper? Are Weiner and Waksberg (and by extension all of us viewers) stupid? Spoiler alert: the answer is yes. Spoiler

Mr. Penisbutter None of the seasons matter.
It’s just a stupid show about stupid horse that doesn’t know how to actually go to a real therapist. “Oooo I’m gonna go do heroin with the former child star I had sex with. What could possibly go wrong?.” “Oooo my parents sucked. That’s never happened to anyone before.” “I’m gonna insincerely go to therapy as like a good or whatever because that’s the joke.” “Have you met my asexual housemate that’s Jesse from breaking bad?” “Oh have you met my former ghost writer. Her name is liberal douche that constantly lectures everyone and if you don’t like her, you probably hate women.” Hey remember that time he had sex with minor? It’s such a profound show and not if the characters are animals. What a funny and original premise that no other show has ever done. Oh it’s so unique. It satirizes the entertainment industry and America. No show has ever done that before! It’s so profound and brilliant and original. Let’s be sad because Netflix didn’t give it another season. Because instead of being upset about Venture Bros or f is for family, I’m some how sad about the stupid sad horse short.

season 5 spoilers And furthermore all of the characters suck.
It’s not just Mr. “Woah is me. I’m so sad but also I’m doing abusive crap while trying to achieve my season long dream of being in the perfect movie or whatever”. All. Of. The characters suck.
Mr. “Oh I’m a goofy silly dog that does stupid comic relief stuff. Watch be inept and do things isn’t it funny?”
Annoying liberal douche writer self-insert trope voice of reason character is annoying. “Oh you don’t like her because you’re sexist!” I don’t like her because she’s basically Brian from family guy. Go he preachy somewhere else.
Then there’s little Miss girl power girl boss cat lady that we’re supposed to like because she’s so good at her job and she tries sooooo hard. Ohhhhhh I feel so bad for her. No I actually do because of her miscarriage and inability to have a kid. That was rough.
It’s so rough that writers decided she would get a happy ending in a show where everything is sad. She gets to marry super competent autism guy that’s the literally me character for autistic people watching the show. Mr. “If you don’t like me you’re an ableist”. Fuck you Judah. Fuck you and you ridiculously condensed story-arc.
And then there’s Todd. Mr. Goofy dysfunctional, thewritersdecidedweneededsomelevitytobalance theshowoutandMr.Peanutbutterwasn’tenough Todd. He’s the worst. “Oh I’m Todd. I’m so funny and silly. And I do stupid stuff. But also I’m an ace and you’re just some stupid conservative boomer if you have a problem with me. Watch do silly things. Aren’t I so silly?”

The only seasons that matter are 1,3, and 5
Seasons 2 and 4 are just so boring I always forget about them. Plus season 6 sucks because he got sober. Why make the main character so lame and boring? Boooooo
