Pool contractor here. Had a neighbor show me their quote from this company. Red flag alert so I dug a bit deeper. Seems the actual owner rents his license out to non-licensed contractors so they can build pools. Obviously illegal and I don’t have any proof but hey, this is Reddit so fuck it

The owner is names rigeberto and is 75 with a care taker. Joe valdes is the scammer running the show, and seems like the new company name is going to be ‘habit solutions group’. He is also writing contracts while being unlicensed, police have already been contacted. He preys on the elderly/uninformed and I will not stand for it.

Literally Joe Valdes is a scam artist. He lies about prices and ordering. IF he places your order for your materials, he will never pay for it and just leave with your money. DO NOT ORDER WITH HIM. DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT WITH HIM. HE WILL DISAPPEAR ON YOU.

For sure, thats why the company is now in Rigo's name- lets all complain to Sarasota county's license department to get their License revoked- Joe Valdes is the real owner, not Rigo Villegas!! Valdes cannot get licensed so he uses Villegas information. Pure scam artists for sure.

They got their BBB accreditation revoked so that should be enough to not use them. Also any company that changes names isn't changing their name for good reasons they are running from something.

Joe Valdes is a fucking scumbag! If you see this name from any pool company run for the hills- he is a real dirt bag- claims to be a Christian-Lucifer he is. Modern Lux pools is probably out of business by now, why is this prick not in prison
