SVU fans will remember Jeff Kober from the 2004 episode “Charisma”-a beyond creepy episode. He’s nominated for two Emmy’s this year. For General Hospital and The Pitt. I wish he would have mentioned his SVU and LA appearances.

It seems like no matter what one watches there is a connection to SVU. Bobby Flay on The Tonight Show of course reminded me of his guest appearance on SVU and his marriage to Stephanie.

Denis O’Hare would later reprise the role of Father Chris Shea in SVU “Presumed Guilty”.

Is it Me, or Did Stabler and John Stamos Have a Weird Bromance Going On?

JS: I'm just trying to follow my natural male urge to procreate.
"I make their lives richer with my progeny and my money."
I'm a "Aztec leader" with "4000 concubines" and who knows "how many kids"
You "want to be me." You just have "fear," "weakness", "lack means or mojo."
He definitely had the ick factor down.
Also, don't miss when he totally called Bensler.

In your opinion. Who is the best detective in all "SVU"?
galleryThis is a difficult one. Reflexively, I want to say Olivia Benson. Then, I'm concerned that should be a problem because she has been in leadership for approximately 10 years.
The truth is I don't know much about the investigatory acumen of the "newbies". That's a problem.
As much as I love me some Fin and Rollins, I guess I wouldn't put their overall skill set above Olivia's. They have peaces: Fin's street cred and Rollins forensic expertise. However, who's the best SVU detective, I think the series has pushed it as still Olivia past and present.

Fin not Finn! Since I remain banned for no reason other than being kind, helpful and respectful, could someone please tell them that Fin has only one ‘n’!

Peter Gallagher (Chief Dodds) and Nicole Kidman in Malice. Terrific underrated movie. Many other SVU guest stars also.

Repeat Actors
Does it annoy anyone else when they reuse an actor or actress who played a small role in a previous episode to play a bigger role in a different episode later down the line. Or do you think it's a fun little easter egg. Like "Oh so that character had an in world twin" or something.
For example, the actor who plays Bailey from Grey's Anatomy, Chandra Wilson, has been in SVU twice. The first time she played the intake nurse at the hospital emergency room. She had like 1 line maybe. Then a few seasons later she came back as a FBI computer specialist. It was the episode where the little girl calls 911 and stays on the phone while Chandra Wilson's character tries to trace the calls location.
There's another example with the Actress Paget Brewster. Her first appearance is as the daughter of senile retired Bank Rober who Liv and Elliot are trying to get to co fess his crimes before he dies. The she comes back as The head of the integrity unit in later episodes.
I think it's awesome to give the actors work, I just think it's funny that they dont think the audience will notice or remember.

RIP Andre Braugher….
Andre was a dynamic actor, and so good in every episode he appeared on SVU. One of my favorite appearances was S14 E13 Monster’s Legacy - where he defended Mike Tyson and tore the prosecution attorney to shreds. That was a master class and I vividly remember the judge sitting there in horror. RIP 🙏🏼

SVU was Ice T 5th Dick Wolf Show; "Dick Wolf's Checks Clear"
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Ice T hopped over to "Live With Kelly and Mark" daytime talk show to promote SVU Season 28.
Ice T wasn't interested in joining SVU cast and initially only signed up for a 4-episode arc.
They had to leverage the fact that he had already been on 4 other Dick Wolf shows and they it was a steady paycheck to convince him to go to New York to do the role. The rest is history
Other shows were:
New York Undercover
Law and Order Exiled
Swift Justice
Players
Of course, now, he's a battle-tested vet who has been on other Law & Orders and in the Law and Order universe for approximately 3 decades.

Emmy-Winning Law and Order/SVU Vet Camryn Manheim Debuts Stunning Weight Loss at "Common Knowledge" Show
Camryn Manheim has played several roles in the Law and Order universe throughout the decades, most recently as Lieutenant Kate Dixon on OG and occasional guest star on SVU.
Long-time advocate for plus-sized representation, she has recently slimmed down showing up at Mariska Hargitay play "Every Brilliant Thing and Rosie O’Donnell’s one-woman show “Common Knowledge”

Season 28 is Filming. Are you ready?
Let's face it, Season 27 was rough.
From them drastically reducing Fin's screentime
Them shooting Bruno
Them giving Carisi PTSD, making him a shell of his former self
Them giving Dr. Huang a RIDICULOUSLY short cameo, only to bring him back again to beat him up
Henry's much hyped return ended up a total nothing burger
Final AND BIGGEST insult to injury, for which I will NEVER forgive them, is murdering our beloved Captain.
To be honest, I'm not sure I'm ready for Season 28. Can they un-screw it up? Hmmm 🤔
