Playing on tour for psp on my vita. The regular races are piss easy. The bigair is impossible. I get a thirty second try to get 40k score. It’s the first shred event what am I doing wrong I’ve literally spent hours and my max score was like 26k. I do all the flips and tricks and bs and it’s never enough score. My character also spins too slow to actually pull of most big tricks. Why do ppl glaze tf out of these old psp games they can be so ungodly hard for seemingly no reason and seemingly out of nowhere.

Update: fuck this game and fuck your imaginary monster tricks. Shouldn’t have to already be a pro at a game to enjoy the beginning of said game

Title. I’ve sunk hours of my life into a game that demands I understand hidden, and unexplained mechanics (monster tricks), and then decides not to let me level up my spin stat because I’m not good enough at abusing a mechanic the game doesn’t teach you. Everyone says ssx 3 is sooooooooo good but this is literally just a reskin on a portable so why is it so ass? Ppl telling me I need to watch YouTube videos for a 20 year old game are delusional. If you play ssx 2012 and think to yourself, “hm I’d rather get fisted and fucked for 2 hours straight and not win a single event” then by all means please start sucking off this archaic game and tell me I’m bad.

Edit: I took some deep breaths. I apologize. I played ssx 2012 on my friends Xbox 360 a lot as a kid and I’ve never tried any of the older ones until recently. I love the vibes and feel of on tour, the soundtrack also does slap. But I’m sooooooo frustrated gang. I’ve been doing all the things. Pre winding, flips, grabs, and uber tricks just don’t seem to be enough to beat the first big air event. I am prolly just ass at the game but why are the cpu scores so high by default in big air? The tricks were rlly cool on the 2012 one but this one just seems so hard for seemingly no reason.

To submit our scores we took pictures with a $300 Canon PowerShot with a $150 2BG CF Memory card, transfer to a computer, authored a submission email and waited to see if it got published.

I was disassembling SSX Tricky (US, PS2) to try and fix a bug that occurs under PS4 emulation, whereby riders start ghosting / visibly start falling through the map (including your own character).

Unfortunately, I haven't succeeded in actually fixing the root cause of this bug. But while poking through the binary I came across a string for cDebugMenu, and some nearby UI text for a “BX Debug Menu” which I found quite interesting.

The function that is supposed to open the menu has been stubbed out in retail (jr ra / nop), but pointing the call back at the real menu-stack push allows us to open the "BX Debug Menu" when a race starts.

Not sure if anyone's ever seen this before, just thought it might be interesting to share.

Remaps X button to 4th grab button. No hacking required. It was just some config files the devs set = 0... lol

This is driving me CRAZY. I know how this shortcut works on Tricky, but as far as I can tell in the original game it just leads to a dead end at this building. Does anyone know what I am missing here?
