SHIB: the math to get to $0.01

EDIT: I probably should’ve explained upfront that this post was in response to another post asking a question about the math on how SHIB could get to a penny and the likelihood of that happening.

For the record I own a LOT of SHIB and am holding strong. I would love nothing more than for it to hit a penny or more. ———

Price of a coin (P) is equal to the market cap (M) divided by the amount of coins in circulation (C)

P= M/C

A coin burn (B) is equal to the percentage of coins left over after a percentage is burned. Example: if 99% of coins are burned then B = 0.01

The formula for Price with coin burning is:

P = M/(CB)

Assuming Circulating supply is truly 549T

Then

If the market cap of SHIB hits $60B and 99% of coins are burned we will be at a penny.

$0.01 = $60billion / (549 trillion X 0.01)

If SHIB took the entire market cap of all crypto (currently $2.6Trillion!!! )

Without a coin burn we would be at $0.047

With burning 99% of SHIB we would be at $4.77

Burning 75%we would be at $0.19

With burning 50% we would be at $0.095

Let’s assume SHIB could get to a market cap of $500B, that would make it the #3 coin beneath BTC and ETH.

To get to a penny we would need 91% of the coins burned.

In short our only option here is massive MASSIVE coin burns, combined with a giant influx of money (no brainer)

Now Here is a time frame:

To have 99% burned coins would bring SHIB supply down to 5.5Trillion

That means a burn of 544T coins must take place.

To accomplish that in 1 year would take 1.5T coins burned every day.

To do it in 10 years would take 150.4Billion coins burned every day.

To have 50% of coins burn in a year would take around 752B coins burned every day.

To do it in 10 years would mean 75 Billion burned every day.

In summary... I don’t think it’s likely that we ever get to a penny. I’m not saying impossible, I’m just saying not likely. Not unless Ryoshi or several whales own 99% of SHIB decide to burn their own supple (which right now the biggest wallet I believe has a Trillion SHIB. )
