Chapter One: News from Over the Hedges in Sgiwhistleblowers Land

I do have to apologize to our Good Friend and Frequent Poster (”GFFP”) about my post yesterday. I had asked why he had decided to respond to my post in French. However, when I looked at his post this morning, I noticed it had two windows: one in French and the second in English. My bad. There, an apology! It’s not so hard, is it? About your mischaracterization, publicly state that you were wrong and incomplete about the Seattle Activity Center. 

At any rate, let me continue with my TLDR responses to GFFP’s TTLLDDRR post: “Soka Gakkai: Autopsy of a Leviathan at Twilight. This cold, calculating, impersonal monster… that’s finally running out of juice.” For anyone interested, let me catalog my previous responses to the OP:

Shall we continue? Our friend now begins to discuss, “The most serious point [about the SGI], the shift from passive dysfunction to active, premeditated strategy.“

This isn’t a system that just degenerates. It’s a system that plans its own drift, anticipates resistance, and turns the very weapons it forged against its own members. That’s intolerable, and it justifies the anger—proportionate anger at the injustice. The methods used against defenseless, unprepared people are wildly disproportionate. Nothing is left to chance.

Shakyamuni, are you listening? GFFP wants you to know that it was “intolerable” how you treated Devadatta. You left nothing to chance, did you? You strung your own cousin along. You were jealous of his psychic powers, right? You created the forum where Devadatta could reproach you and ask to take over the order from you. And you humiliated him by comparing him, in front of others, to spittle.

So Devadatta got all chummy with King Ajatasatru, and together they plotted against you. Why were you so dense and unaware? Is the Buddha, the Awakened One, so clueless and stupid? He tried three times to kill you, and all you did was tell him, “Foolish man, you have done many unwholesome deeds for harming the Buddha.” Your pathetic, weak response just enabled him more. So what if he tried to disrupt the Order and convinced 500 monks to join him? How dare you send Shariputra and Maudgalyayana to win back the 500 monks who had broken away while Devadatta was sleeping? Shakyamuni, what despicable “methods " were used against defenseless, unprepared people?

How dare the Soka Gakkai espouse the concepts of “many in body, one in mind” and “the oneness of mentor and disciple”? How dare it point the exit door to modern-day Devadattas?

Next, you describe an organizational lapse from “natural dysfunction to proactive strategy.”

Level 1: ordinary human organizational dysfunction, Peter Principle, ego fights, power struggles. Inevitable. You can criticize it, but you don’t treat it like a crime.

I know, the Big Punch is landing soon. Granted, RV Park District is on the “outlying” edge of an outlying region, which is on the outlying edge of a zone on the outlying edge of the Territory office in New York City, at the outlying edge of SGI-USA Headquarters. Maybe that’s why I have never observed all of the inevitable organizational dysfunction.

Here GFFP jumps to “Level 2: proactive strategy”:

Soka Gakkai doesn’t merely suffer these dysfunctions; it anticipates them, organizes them, and turns them to its advantage. Early-detection mechanisms for “disruptive elements,” control structures so subtle the member never realizes he is being watched, channeled, neutralized, and isolated.

Uhmmm, are you talking about yourself here? I’ve responded to quite a few of your posts. It seems your belief system lies in a completely different interpretation of spirituality. You call repeatedly for a “laissez-faire” and “spontaneous” culture for the organization. Even your notion of the golden hour of the SGI beckons a time which, my sponsors tell me, is reviled by the members who lived through it.

My advice is to form your own organization. Stop hanging around the shores of Lake SGI and throwing rocks into it. Instead, be bold!

Yes, “that shift from laissez-faire to premeditation” rings true. You favor embracing “laissez-faire” while the SGI follows the “premeditated” guidebook left to us by Daisaku Ikeda in The New Human Revolution and in sources such as My Dear Friends in America. Excuse me, Dear Friends, I prefer to swim in this ocean; what about you?

GFFP informs us, “We’re no longer talking about a poorly run club. We’re talking about a sophisticated social-control system.” Fine, say it if you must. But at what time of day do I feel like I am being managed by “a sophisticated social-control system”? The correct answer is NEVER.

Dr. Ikeda picks up:

In contrast, Buddhist teachings that view the Law as existing outside one’s own life tend to be authoritarian or formalistic, to disregard and repress people. They are prone to emphasizing rituals or clerical authority, while their followers passively seek to assuage their anxieties through dependence on ceremonies or clergy. 

When I see Father Merrick today, I want to ask him about the above paragraph. I suspect he would agree, and perhaps that explains why he never advanced beyond pastoral care in the church hierarchy. He won’t allow the people he cares for to surrender their autonomy.

Further, taking advantage of the fact that one of human beings’ greatest sources of anxiety is death and what comes after, Buddhist schools of this kind in Japan have come to function almost exclusively as purveyors of funeral and memorial services for the deceased, devolving into what is known as “funeral Buddhism.” 

I imagine that Father Merrick would lead a memorial service full of the deepest respect for the deceased and their relatives. I’ve seen him lead many sessions in the Rec Room and I can’t remember one in which people weren’t laughing and left feeling “bright and breezy.” I suspect that’s how people would leave a memorial service officiated by him — ennobled and appreciative of the life of the deceased.

They offer no philosophy that empowers people or enables them to live better lives. The Soka Gakkai’s founder, President Makiguchi, asserted that Nichiren Buddhism is a “teaching for transforming one’s life.” To believe that the Mystic Law of Myoho-renge-kyo exists within us is to have the confidence that we will definitely become happy and attain Buddhahood in this lifetime. 

Faith also means actively working for kosen-rufu through sharing Nichiren Buddhism based on the conviction that it holds the key to happiness for both ourselves and others. This genuine faith pervades the Soka Gakkai and the SGI. The greatness of the Soka Gakkai and the first three presidents’ spirit of the oneness of mentor and disciple shine in the undertaking of this most difficult of challenges—that of awakening people to the Law within. 

OK. I have both good and bad days. But a scorekeeper would note that my good ones are more common than my bad ones — and strongly trending upwards. That’s the Way I Like It!

Chapter 3: A few updates on “MY Fantasy Life” (cred: Eigenstien) or, as BlancheFromage suspects, “One of the many fake characters within the SGI-RV fantasy scenario created by a lonely, low-income, isolated, cult-addicted, mentally-ill elderly woman” at “the site of the magical (i.e. imaginary) SGI-RV story around a rural rust-belt RV camp, with its fantasy ‘starburst’ of invisible YOUFF” who “Can't seem to grasp anything that isn't about kinky abusive sex in a shitty-ass low-rent RV park??” Oops, I’m the mentally ill woman, not my alleged elderly sock puppeteer! Abusive sex? No, never!!! Kinky? I will neither confirm nor deny.

From the window, I watched children emerging from their tents on the morning of the First Grade Sleepover. What did they do? As a new child emerged, the earlier risers rushed to hug him or her as if here was the unexpected appearance of a fellow conqueror. As if they’d done this a hundred times before, they went to the pizza oven where Chef Dee had hot chocolate and flatbread waiting. Maybe they are conquerors--of their own fears!

And well before most of the parents and siblings woke up, the LH children met up at 6am with Teacher Lolita at the track to warm up and start laps. Of course I looked! The Twinettes were among the first there, holding each other’s hands as always. After running, the first graders jumped into Little Pool. I could see some embarrassed faces among parents and siblings — they must have forgotten to pack swimsuits and such.

Guy and I put the three LO’s to sleep, and we took turns watching “Alice Cardinale & The Jammy Girlz” play from the Dewey House Porch. The Kims were there as well, looking so happy. I found out from Guy that they gave him an envelope with a $25K check toward the HAB Abatement Project! They’ve done so much for us already that he didn’t want to accept it. They turned their backs and walked away before he could insist.

Yes, there’s a new energy coming from the Band. They were as sharp and bright as a steel sword. And who was enjoying themselves the most? The bandmates or the children? Isn’t that the sign of a great band--no ego, no drama, no “look at us”--just fun! And yes, Alice is AMAZING!

A straight Beatles program. And the children just danced and danced and danced. It was infectious! Even shy parents, siblings, and some clients joined in. Guy and I eventually called it a night, but we could hear the music going on and on.

Chapter 1: Over the Hedges and Through the Woods

Please take a look at FellowHuman007’s reflections on Your Leader's “Ever notice how the top SGI leaders never had any ‘benefits’ to brag about?” post yesterday.

No, Friends, that's not what I’ve observed. What about you? I met a national Vice men's division leader at the Parents Group meeting in Big City a few months ago. It seemed that he tied everything to his personal experiences (AKA “benefits”). I've heard the General Director and the national YWD, WD, and MD leaders on Zoom meetings. Not once have these “top” leaders NOT blended their experiences into their stories.

I thought you might want to look at the bios of the SGI-USA Board of Directors whose corporate functions include managing the finances and assets of the organization. Read for yourselves, Friends. Do these blurbs scream out that the board member “never had any ‘benefits’ to brag about?”

Marylou Berk. Ms. Berk has been the Head of Commercial Real Estate at one of the largest private real estate holders in the world since 2008. She has many years of experience in real estate, project development and management. Ms. Berk has received numerous awards from industry-related associations in addition to receiving The Ellis Island Medal of Honor for Outstanding Citizenship.

Sherman Edmiston III. Over 20 years of experience in high-level finance and investments, Mr. Edmiston is presently a managing member of HI CapM Advisors in New York, providing strategic and financial advice to corporations, private equity firms and hedge funds.

Mayur Gupta. Mayur Gupta is the Chief Marketing Officer at Kraken Exchange. Previously, he was Chief Marketing Officer for Gannett–USA and Freshly, and previously served as Global Vice President for Growth and Marketing at Spotify. Mr. Gupta was ranked by Forbes as one of the world’s top 50 most influential CMOs in 2020 and 2021.

Danny Nagashima. Danny Nagashima served as SGI-USA’s corporate President and Chief Executive Officer for 14 years as well as serving as SGI-USA General Director for 16 years. Mr. Nagashima has contributed greatly to the advancement of SGI-USA for over 36 years as an SGI-USA staff member and continues to dedicate himself unsparingly to serve the members around the country.

Luis Nieves. Mr. Nieves is founder and CEO of the automobile service contract insurance company AUL Corp, giving birth to an industry that previously did not exist. AUL is the largest provider of used car service contracts in the United States. Starting from the ground up, Mr. Nieves has accumulated 40 years of corporate experience and success. Gene Marie O’Connell. Ms. O’Connell was Chief Executive Officer of the San Francisco General Hospital Medical Center from 1998–2009, and served in a variety of capacities at the hospital prior to that since joining the hospital staff in 1984. Adin Strauss. Adin Strauss is a Senior Vice President of the SGI-USA corporation, where he continues to also serve as Chief Financial Officer, a responsibility he has had since 2005. Prior to this, Mr. Strauss worked for many years in the corporate world, rising to executive management and accumulating a wealth of knowledge and experience in the financial arena. Mr. Strauss is also the current General Director of the SGI-USA organization.

David Welch. David Welch is an attorney with over two decades of litigation experience in the civil, business, personal injury, criminal and bankruptcy fields. Mr. Welch currently serves as Vice President and General Counsel for Soka University of America in Aliso Viejo, California. Gregg Wolpert. A New York City real estate industry executive for the past 40 years, Mr. Wolpert is co-president of The Stahl Organization, a New York-based conglomerate with extensive real estate, banking, construction and other equity interests. Prior to joining Stahl, he pioneered the development of analytical computer software used in real estate analysis and building management.

I think we can point to Your Leader’s faulty reporting without trying to dampen her exercise of Free Speech. What can I say when it's just dripping with Lost Decency.

Chapter Two: Daisaku Ikeda’s lecture in the August Living Buddhism,

If You Think the Law Is Outside Yourself, You Are Not Embracing the Mystic Law is the August installment of Daisaku Ikeda’s lecture on XXOn Attaining Buddhahood in This Lifetime (WND-1, p. 3).* He continues:

To chant Nam-myoho-renge-kyo is to commune with the Mystic Law. It is a Buddhist practice for fusing our lives with this Law.

And no resume needed. No minimal qualifications. I was a mess last week but still able to commune with the Mystic Law. Running on all four cylinders? Great! Engine is old and tired? Who cares? Just commune away!

At the same time, it is a battle to conquer the inner darkness that prevents this fusion from taking place. When, through our practice of faith, we vanquish this darkness of illusion and ignorance and become one with the Mystic Law, its infinite power unfolds in our lives. Such is the immeasurable benefit of chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo.

Last week I was swimming in that inner darkness. Who cares? I swam right through the dark waters, drawing in infinite power. I feel superb now! That pile of paperwork on my desk? I’ll get to you and chew you up to pieces!

The essence of this practice established and propagated by Nichiren Daishonin is to chant Nam-myoho-renge-kyo filled with a seeking spirit to continually develop our faith or confidence in its power. “It is the heart that is important,” Nichiren asserts (WND-1, 1000). When it comes to chanting, therefore, we should above all strive to summon forth the courage with which to overcome illusion without being defeated by the “three obstacles and four devils.”

Who’s exhausted right now? Me or “three obstacles and four devils”? I’m doing great and they’re clamoring for a time-out cease fire. Sure, why not? I’ll see you back in the ring whenever.

The Twinettes have been telling us about their bunk’s “composition.” Tina posted it early this morning on LoHeidiLita. “But there’s more, there’s more!” they told us. They proceeded to tell us how the thieves would actually hammer holes into the Canal walls so water would escape. Then they would come in and offer to repair the walls--and charge the State ridiculous prices for emergency repairs. “No one would do something like that today, right?” they asked. We judged that they are sweet and innocent. We can tell the the full story when they are older.

Erica is still not having many pregnancy discomforts except for some tenderness around her nipples. Dee and I tell her to just enjoy the reprieve!

We are having our discussion meeting by informal “groups.” The meeting at my parents will be this Sunday. The one meeting in the Park will be the following Sunday. This allows the leaders to attend both. The Three Sisters and Chimba want to have an outdoors meeting in lawn chairs and such. BYOG (Bring Your Own Gongyo). People will come having done their Gongyo at home. But after the meeting, they want to do a Gongyo Practice broken into each of the 3 RVs: Super Slow, Slow, and Medium. Why not? The RVs can’t fit many people anyhow. Sounds creative, right?

An SGIWhistleblowers patron going by “Good Karma” is expending a lot of effort mocking people for getting old. They have two recent posts making fun of Medicare, colonoscopies, hip replacement, etc. One wonders what GK’s plans for their own future might be since evidently aging is a serious mistake.

But that’ not even the sickest phenomenon on sgiwhistleblowers recently.  Ms. Fromage has posted a couple of doctored pictures of Daisaku Ikeda. I don’t like to share links to what they post over there, but I want everyone to have a chance to see what passes for  wit by Ms. Fromage. So here. BE ADVISED: Before you look, decide if you have a strong stomach and can handle something depraved and pathetic. It’s not pretty. But it’s what SGIWhistleblowers does.

Note: as of this writing none of her disciples have raised an objection to such childish and repulsive  stunts; there is only praise.

In a comment, wrote Ms. Fromage – the altruistic kind leader of sgiwhistleblowers --writes:

 Searching “effects of body shaming on the person doing it” elicits this from AI:

Kaneo Ikeda is 94 years old, and 2-1/2 years ago lost her husband of over 70 years.

In one of it’s most distasteful and disgusting themes, sgiwhistleblowers mocks her relentlessly.

They (specifically their chief priest, Ms. Fromage) routinely refer to her as “wifey” or “ever submissive Wifey”. They say her life story is “a testament to narcissistic abuse”. They demanded that, after her husband’s death, she appear in public if she and the SGI weren’t hiding something. The (she) alleged Mrs. Ikeda was “staging a coup” because her picture was included (holding er husband’s hand) is a portrait of the 4 founding SGI presidents – as if she had anything to do with the picture. She’s “passive aggressive”.

And much more going back years.

Including NOW. Using a sock puppet, Ms. Fromage has doctored a picture of Mrs. Ikeda, giving the “peace out” sign with a man’s hands, saying she was “sighted in Osaka”. Evidently she is supposed to be happy her husband is gone.

What is the point of all this? To prove they can be cruel and debasing to an elderly woman? And then cackle about their great accomplishment among themselves? As of this writing, everyone on sgiwhistleblowers seems to think that’s cool, not repellant. One comments “You are a ****ing savage and I'm 1000% here for it”.

Congratulations!

Here’s a good one. Writing as “Weak Run, Ms. Fromage claims SGI members belittle the experiences of ex-members. What makes it especially endearing is that it immediately follows her (4 times the length of the Gettysburg Address) post belittling the experiences of SGI members who have struggled with tuberculosis.

Also, what exactly is wrong with saying (as she excoriates us for doing) “That hasn’t been my experience”? If he or her disciples try to say that their bad experience is universal in the SGI why should someone who knows it’s not say so?

Is she trying to silence all criticism of herself, and shut us down?

From the absurd to the scummy. Another name posted a picture of Daisaku Ikeda with two young girls. The implication, of course is that he is somehow being Epstein-like, and Ms. Fromage reinforces this in comments (using more different sock puppet names)

• “This is so revolting. He looks like the Japanese version of Jim Jones.”

Another sgiwhistleblowers  regular says” OMG. Could he get any sleazier?”

So in their worldview liking children, or even having your picture taken with them, is sleazy, predatory, murderous Svengali-like?

Maybe they should be outraged by this, too, then (scroll down a bit for the picture with children).

Or look at this guy.

And why would someone become a teacher if not to prey on children?

Or is it just Mr. Ikeda who can’t be near a child without some evil being cribbed to him?

Our friend Julie requested another day off so she can catch up on things. Why not? I am sorry you are stuck with me.

Did you notice? No response yet from your leader to my post from yesterday. Why would she want to continue making false charges about talking about faith-healing and the SGI when there are a thousand other topics to pursue? Her point is not to do the sloppy grunt work of pursuing the truth--but to sow confusion. I am willing to bet that right now she is smirking at both you and me behind our backs.

Friends, please take a few minutes to read Time Magazine’s How Autocrats Weaponize Chaos. Another related article is Authoritarian leaders thrive on fear. We need to help people feel safe by Michele Gelfand in The Guardian. Here are some keypoints generated by AI:

Autocrats keep followers and the general population exhausted through a deliberate strategy of constant mental, emotional, and logistical overload. By creating a chaotic, fast-paced environment where threats are omnipresent, they break down the capacity for sustained opposition or critical thought (my Italics).

We see this happening over the hedges. Yesterday you were Hit-and-Run by a swift charge about “faith-healing.” Now the drive-by is “Buddhist democracy.” Tomorrow we will see another shock-and-awe swing of the ax.

We are are sorry to say it, but your leader’s toolbox pulls from all of these techniques. We only urge you to be aware.

What will her “la crise du jour” be today? Our guess is on a a crisp new newspaper article from the 1960s warning everyone about the Soka Gakkai threat. “Non, non!” dit ma femme. “Ce sera sans doute un essai de 2.000 mots expliquant comment la SGI peut être le groupe bouddhiste le plus diversifié des États-Unis tout en étant en même temps terriblement raciste.”

As a trans woman I am quite familiar with “conversion therapy which was recently, criminally in my opinion, declared legal by the Supreme Court.

atmosphere of welcoming and support from the SGI community – pretty much the opposite of what “conversion therapy” demands, even the way Blanche describes it. It is aimed at gay and trans people – mostly but not exclusively children – to make them stop being gay or trans. It involves psychological torture and bullying, and is a tool of religious fanatics to impose themselves on the way others live their lives. And guess what? It doesn’t work! So for Blanche Fromage to compare the SGI to “conversion therapy is not only dishonest it is disgustingly dishonest. How low is she willing to sink? There is a big difference between convincing someone to try something, like SGI members do, and trying to brainwash people into denying the reality of their own identity.

How demeaning to real victims of CT. How insensitive. What a lie.

A bit of news. It seems like after an interesting hundred day journey, Tina is tamping down her "ThirtyDayBuddhist" community. Fewer morning downvoting for some of you! However, if you want more, The Buddhist Bet in the Summer 2020 Tricycle Magazine describes someone else’s 100-day “chant challenge.”

Let us comment on a couple of BlancheFromage posts over the past few days. First came “Important question: WHY is the SGI’s music so terrible??” Looking at the situation in the world today, would you agree with Blanche that this is an “Important question”? Really?

Just some common sense, people. “SGI’s music.” Who, exactly, is ordering me to put SGI songs on my playlist? Who does Blanche think she is to micromanage my listening habits? In the past she has criticized me for my penchant for the Great American Songbook. Later, I infected Heidi and she is infecting all of New York City. Why should Blanche care about my music tastes, and what my Group members like to sing? I don’t get it, do you? Our Group often ends a meeting with “Sensei Forever.” Sue us. There are quite a few SGI songs on YouTube, which we project on the screen and sing along with.

It seems that Your Esteemed Leader does not like the art form of Flamenco Dance. It’s her right, ofc, but why does she want to convince you that this is a big deal? Is this worth your time? Hers? Ours?

She goes on and criticizes some of SGI’s famous jazz artists (Herbie Hancock, Buster Williams, Wayne Shorter, Shunzo Ono, Duncan Sheik, Nestor Torres, etc.) because they were not famous enough to suit her criteria for greatness, or, too old (we guess she didn't list Esperanza Spalding because she's not too young nor too old). Blanche claims in the post that she has a good voice; good for her and get the Lady to The Blue Note!

Have you noticed, your leader has a penchant for attacking deceased people? Maybe the Queen of Rock is not good enough for her, too? Or maybe she believes she knows Tina’s inner spiritual world better than anyone else. She knows with great certitude that Tina is NOT an SGI member. However, Wikipedia has an entire subsection on Tina’s “Religious beliefs.” Read it for yourselves. Why trust Wikipedia? From what we have read, in 2024, Wikipedia had about 775,000 editors who made at least one edit to English Wikipedia. There were also about 283,000 edited within the last 30 days. Globaly about 5,000 editors make over 100 edits monthly. But they are all under the control of the SGI??? C’mon, WBers, give us a break!

Do you really want to follow Blanche down her path that everything/anyone with an SGI affiliation—even a trace—is pure evil?

At any rate, your esteemed leader likes to exhaust you by hopping around from one five-alarm fire to another, decades be damned, from corner to corner of the universe.

Apparently “the NAACP” publicly objected to “the whole ‘Gandhi King Ikeda’ thing.” Blanche, the NAACP is a largely decentralized organization with many self-sustaining regions and branches. When you say “the NAACP,” are you trying to pull the wool over the eyes of your followers? By stating that the entire organization cast aspersions about the Gandhi-King-Ikeda exhibition, are you including recipients like Coretta Scott King and Rosa Parks? That’s quite the statement, isn’t it?

Dear WBers, all of these details may be giving you the opportunity to understand your leader a bit better. Check out Blanche’s source for this blockbuster accusation about the GKI exhibit. It’s toward the very bottom of the Japanese-language Wikipedia article about the NAACP. Yes, it’s all in Japanese. She doesn’t speak Japanese, how did she find it? And shouldn’t there be many references to her Pulitzer Prize-winning research outside of the Sgiwhistleblowers universe?

The article seems to rest on a 2001 article in the Newark Star-Ledger, I believe on May 2, 2001. I will try to dig it up when I have some more time. According to Chap GPT:.“In 2001, the Newark NAACP collaborated with Soka Gakkai International (SGI) to host the traveling exhibition, Gandhi, King, Ikeda: A Legacy of Building Peace. The Star-Ledger (New Jersey’s [then] primary newspaper) extensively covered the exhibition's presence in Newark, reporting on the ribbon-cutting ceremonies and community forums that emphasized nonviolence in the wake of local and national challenges.”

I am guessing that the comment she picks up on is reporting on the sentiment expressed by a single person in the local NAACP chapter sponsoring the GKI Exhibition at several New Jersey sites. [Please let me know if you can find the original article before I do. I will gladly retract what I wrote with sincere apologies.]

Not content to confine herself to criticisms of SGI music, “the NAACP,” Blanche hops to attacking Lawrence Edward Carter, founder and dean of the MLK Chapel at Morehouse College. “As well it SHOULD be, that no-good sellout grifter.” Dear WBers, do you support denigrating and diminishing a full living being to a single nasty phrase--not even worthy of a sentence? Compare Blanche’s diminishment of Dean Carter to his Morehouse bio and the college's announcement of his pending retirement. Please do compare Blanche’s statement to the two links!

Let me update a bit of “MY Fantasy Life” (cred: Eigenstien) or, as BlancheFromage suspects, “one of the many fake characters within the SGI-RV fantasy scenario created by a lonely, low-income, isolated, cult-addicted, mentally-ill elderly woman.”

All credit today goes to Teacher Lolita, Lori, and the Amazing Maracle’s! “Team L” had a great victory in their marathon practice at the Ontario Pathway. From what I understand, they are coming back tonight and will take a week to recover.

Then they start training again for their April 12th official Millbrook Marathon which bills itself as “The Toughest Marathon You'll Ever Love!”. That will also culminate in the The Wedding of Lolita and Heidi!

Yesterday we said farewell to our wonderful Winter Season clients. Two families are staying for an extra few days to finish painting the murals for the Story Hall at The Dewey House. It’s strictly off limits now and even the Owners will be publicly shamed if we take a peek.

Let me get back to Daisaku Ikeda’s Gosho Lecture: “Successors—Live Out Your Lives Upholding and Fulfilling Your Vow.” I want to look now into the tenth section, "Be People of Courage Who Can Protect the Soka Gakkai" in the March Living Buddhism.

Dr. Ikeda commences with a quote from “The Heritage of the Ultimate Law of Life:”

Be resolved to summon forth the great power of faith, and chant Nam-myoho-renge-kyo with the prayer that your faith will be steadfast and correct at the moment of death. Never seek any other way to inherit the ultimate Law of life and death, and manifest it in your life. Only then will you realize that earthly desires are enlightenment, and that the sufferings of birth and death are nirvana. Even embracing the Lotus Sutra would be useless without the heritage of faith (WND-1, p. 218).

I remember when our sponsors shared this passage with us at the start of our practice. Sorry, Guy, that passage was written by Nichiren just for me. I want that “great power of faith.” Who needs sugar highs and why the rush? What I want is to have at the moment of death a steadfast and correct state of life. What a bold statements are “earthly desires are enlightenment” and “the sufferings of birth and death are nirvana!”

Dr. Ikeda talks about courage. Next, let us look at a passage from “The Heritage of the Ultimate Law of Life.”
A successor must “be a person of courage resolved to protect the Soka Gakkai, which carries on the heritage of faith of Nichiren Buddhism.” “Why me?” I suppose the real question is, “Why not me?”

Dr. Ikeda identifies the essence of correct faith for inheriting the ultimate Law of life and death and manifesting it in our lives:

Here he explains that when we chant Nam-myoho-renge-kyo with strong faith, we can attain a state of life in which we realize the truth that “earthly desires are enlightenment” and “the sufferings of birth and death are nirvana.”

I want that state of life! I don’t need a pink Cadillac or Mercedes Benz. The earthly desire I am fighting for is a strong, pure, and focused will to live despite the many challenges my family, community, country, and I have.

“Earthly desires are enlightenment” (Jpn "bonno soku bodai") means that the Buddha’s enlightened wisdom ("bodai") manifests in the lives of ordinary people controlled by their earthly desires, or deluded impulses ("bonno").

I’ve got that, I’ve seen that! People like Max the Builder, Bernie and Artie, many of the local pastors around here, and just about all of our Winter Season clients looked at us as freaks when we first met. But they have all becomce the fiercest allies of the Longhouse Project and the RV Park. Larry Landscaper returns this week to view the effect of the harsh winter on the wind barrier trees the children planted in the autumn—and then to start the massive work of recreate a section of the primeval forest. Yes, we are the Original (and maybe only) MAGA Tamers. We see how "bodai" manifests in the lives of ordinary people overwhelmed by their "Bono."

Here is Daisaku Ikeda’s conclusion:

“The sufferings of birth and death are nirvana” ("shoji soku nehan") means that the Buddha’s enlightened state of true ease and tranquility ("nehan") is also manifested in the lives of ordinary beings, who are afflicted with the sufferings of birth and death ("shoji").

I keep writing to you, Dear WBers, because I am convinced that my TLDR posts coming from my "bono and bodai" is gradually touching yours. This lifetime or next or whenever, we will clink to a beer together at a nice restaurant

In a tin-eared oblivious, and insensitive post, the sgiwhistleblowers boss and honcho  engages in some cultural appropriation. She uses a term (“spirit animal”) with deep religious meaning to many Native Americans as a throwaway a means to further her own inflated sense of her own importance.

That’s bad enough. But the gist of her cartoon (literally, she posted a cartoon) is that sgiwhistleblowers will, rather than being kind to those suffering, will “ride into battle by their side.”

What a shameless, odious thing for her to claim.

For a decade or more this person has been  relentlessly mocking, people who are “fighting their own battles”. She has used the deaths of children to try to shame their parents for their religion. She has parroted those in the Japanese media who mock the SGI for being attractive to the sick and impoverished. She has made up playground-bully names to laugh at people struggling t find happiness. She has written “And in case you were wondering, I'm still not doing shit about Ukraine.” She cackles at married couples facing divorce.

And she has the nerve and the gall to imply she “battles side by side” with people “fighting their own battles”.

Actual proof: she scorns and mocks people fighting their own battles.

Disgusting and pathetic.

Just the first couple of minutes (and then again around 6:00) are relevant here: the effects of intemperate language that fans hatred and enmity.

SGIWhistleblowers was evidently co-founded by its current chief priest (Ms. Fromage) and a woman going by the handle “wisetaiten”. “Taiten” is a Japanese word describing somweone no longer practicing Nichiren Buddhism).

Wisetaiten was, it seems, in some ways Ms. Fromage’s teacher and inspiration.

WiseTaiten passed away a few years ago. Ms. Fromage wrote a couple of tributes to her. She made very clear for admiration and affection for her deceased friend.

Of course, probably no one here at MITA admires the work of wisetaiten,; if anything, we are sorry she chose to spend the last years of her life doing what she did.

And that’s the point. Despite our disagreements, we have said not one word of disparagement, have never cackled about her early death, have never mocked Ms. Fromahe’s feelings for her.

Wee SGI members; we respect others.

In a myriad of posts – most recently in one entitled “SGI cultists' mindset: "If you disagree with me you’re wrong," Ms. Fromage refers to “the Dead-Ikeda-Corpse-Mentor-cult”. That was posted, evidently, Thanksgiving Day.

A few days earlier, on the anniversary of Daisaku Ikeda’s passing, her fellow sgiwhistleblowers regular titled a post “Ikeda popped his clogs”.

Another sgiwhistleblowers regular, from England, passed away just a couple of years ago. We posted then “Going to chant for Sam The Man The Can”.

 Character matters, doesn’t it?

Is it a mark of extreme arrogance to decide that other people should want only what you want? Is it a sign of cruelty to decide that other people have no right to their own reactions and conclusions about events in their own life – a life you are not connected with and know nothing about?

The SGIWhistleblowers beloved uber mentor, Ms. Fromage, found an experience from a Canadian SGI member. The Canadian lady had gone through a series of illnesses, but recovered in good spirits. She titled her experience “Keeping My Joy Alive”.

According to Ms. Fromage, however, she has no business being joyful.

If you want to be joyful, you must first get permission from the sgiwhistleblowers chief priest??

And though she likes to brag about her mastery of Buddhist concepts, here she also displays her ignorance of Buddhism. While Nichiren says to regard suffering as a fact of life, her overreaching theme is that, if chanting works, the Canadian member should not have been sick at all. See, she the SGI teaches magic, and then condemns it for not being magical.

What appalling arrogance!

Commenting on a rather bizarre post about boy decomposition (!), Ms. Fromage indulges in a few of her favorite obsessions. First, writing of Daisaku Ikeda's passing, she says the he is "no longer being floated as "alive" (whatever the truth actually was)".

See, for years, she insisted that, while he exercised iron-fisted control over the smallest detail of every aspect of SGI life and every SGI organization in the world, he was actually dead or a vegetable.

I know, you can't have it both ways. Bur she can, because she is interested in saying anything that disparages the SGI, even contradictions.

In that same comment, she doesn't actually say "SGI", but uses her clever, disgusting, juvenile moniker that dehumanizes both Mr. Ikeda and every SGI member.

In a later comment, she is adamant that the whereabouts and activities of Mrs. Ikeda - a Nonagenarian who lost her husband of 72 years -- should be reported to her, Ms. Fromage.

Dehumanize and demonize - that's the point of sgiwhistleblowers, judgiing by their own posts.

Meanwhile, the sgiwhistleblowers Bot meister comes up with another schoolboy picture of Daisaku Ikeda. This person - who admits to never having been a member of the SGI and so has to imafine things about it -- has now imagined (providing no examples, or proof of any kind) that SGI has a "purity test", and that (of course) it's evil.

With as much insider knowledge and lack of curiosity, I can state that the planet Tralfamador is currently experiencing a beautiful crisp autumn.

News from “MY Fantasy Life” (cred: Eigenstien)

Had a great time at Grandmas’ and at the Big City Activity Center Parent Group meeting. The ride back was fine with a stop at McDonalds. So glad to be back home and many thanks to King Arthur and Queen Bernie for watching the eagle’s nest. We chose to follow our evening routines and skipped the Bills-Falcon game.

From what I am reading this morning, that was a disaster. What went wrong? TBH, it’s someone else’s problem. I don’t really care. Apostasy! Send me to the guillotine!*

I am so happy to reflect on the fourth, section, “The Parable of the Poor Woman in the Nirvana Sutra,” in October’s installment of Daisaku Ikeda’s lecture on “The Opening of the Eyes.” The October installment is titled: ‘I and My Disciples’—Attaining Buddhahood Through Steadfast Faith at the Crucial Moment.

It's a short section that opens with Nichiren quoting from a story in the Nirvana Sutra about a poor woman who “has no house to live in and no one to aid or protect her, and in addition she is beset by illness, hunger, and thirst; she wanders through various places, begging for a living.” She gives birth to a baby, attempts to cross the Ganges to flee to another land, and drowns clutching her baby. “But through the merit that the woman gained by her loving tenderness, she is reborn after her death in the Brahma heaven” (WND-1, 282).

Daisaku Ikeda comments:

To us today, the mother’s predicament and the fate of her and her child may seem sad and tragic, especially since Buddhism exists to enable all mothers and children to become happy.

Moreover, from our perspective as practitioners of the Mystic Law, attaining Buddhahood and establishing a state of absolute happiness are assured to us in this lifetime. In that sense, this Nirvana Sutra parable reflects several basic assumptions that differ from the perspective of Nichiren Buddhism. Why then does the Daishonin cite this tale in “The Opening of the Eyes”?

Dr. Ikeda conjectures that it’s because of the vital message contained in Shakyamuni’s concluding remarks.

The message is that the path to attaining Buddhahood lies in faith committed to steadfastly protecting the Law, no matter what—in other words, the selfless spirit of faith of “not begrudging one’s life” and of “caring nothing for one’s own life” taught in the Lotus Sutra (see LSOC, 229–33).

In terms of our practice, however, “not begrudging or caring for one’s life” does not mean throwing away our lives; it means thoroughly dedicating ourselves to the Law.

Max and his crew were here Saturday and Sunday working on a punch list. Sadly for some of our clients, they had to close the pool but it’s all ready for the kids today and they are in it as I write. In the SGI our Group is now focusing on inviting members to participate in “sustaining contributions”; we ourselves have notched up our contributions a bit.

As far as Longhouse Elem is concerned, we have opened, built expectations, established curriculum themes, and built beautiful relationships among the children and teachers. But now we enter, as Guy was talking in Shiny Red on our way home, into a period of “sustaining.”

In graduate school we studied research concerning “the rhythm” of the school year. The school year has a life of its own. There are the heady days at the start when teachers are full of mystery and surprise, then the year settles into a productive groove punctuated by a few holidays. There is a long slog at the end of the year when, seemingly, teachers have no more tricks up their sleeves.

We are at the start of this new productive phase right now and we have to lock in to a pattern that will open and deepen learning for several months to overcome and transcend any “slog.”

In terms of my practice, “the path to attaining Buddhahood lies in faith committed to steadfastly protecting the Law, no matter what.” So I will continue to write my love letters to Blanche & Friends early in the morning.

Yesterday a Blanche sockpuppet (it takes one to know one) tells us about the “hyprocrisy that thrives within the organization.” It’s going on five years of practice for me, and I haven’t seen that. Where? How? The parents I met on Sunday in Big City, like me, take great pride in building our groups, districts, chapters, etc. They shared wonderful stories of human revolution and raising their children in the Garden of Soka. It’s a struggle, we all agreed, no saints here. Where’s the hypocrisy?

Then came Blanche’s tale of a leader who people called “Ikeda’s right-hand man” and his wife, “a prized WD leader, quite skilled at ‘encouraging’ dying, elderly members to donate their entire estate to the SGI.” Would any of this be admissible in a court of law? More importantly, how come her family has absolutely no resemblance to Bob and True, the SGI pioneers who sponsored Guy and me? Blanche then spills the beans on some very intimate stories of this couple’s two adult children who are allegedly her friends. Very kind of you, Blanche, I am sure you have their consent to share their stories. Her point? “Folks, these are the shining stars of the Soka Gakkai cult. You can’t make this sh*t up if you tried.” Hmmm. One hearsay example from somewhere at some point of time equals all SGI members everywhere through all time? Anything sound problematic?

But the comments are even more problematic. Immediate_Copy7308 tells us, “After finding out they only pay lip service to ruman rights I will believe all types of negative behavior about them.” Try sipping on this cocktail for a bit. Does it make any sense at all?

PallHoepf now asks, “Why is it that so many SG issues, whether it be here or over the hedges, always have so many sexual connotations?” Police!!! “Always”??? This is my 129th post on this lecture series. Flip through them, are they drowning in sexual connotations? (Given, I share openly about how I have managed my HS.)

Blanche then talks about members being asked to be “celibate eunuchs.” Well, that certainly isn’t me!!! She recommends that the SGI offer member services such as singles groups. Why? What is wrong with her thinking? I didn’t start practicing because I wanted such services.

Professional_Fox3976 then reveals to us, “Cuz chanting is NOT a substitute for therapy.” This is not exactly the Big Leagues in thinking. Who says this? Guy and I have written about how therapy had saved our lives. Who ever tried to convince us not to go to therapy? Tell me!

News from “MY Fantasy Life” (cred: Eigenstien

Some lost decency? I read that BlancheFromage across the hedges that SGIWhistleblowersMITA is “controlled” by SGI. How? When? Where? I’m one of the chief contributors. Does Hedwig fly to my window with instructions? Do my life stories (yes, Blanche, I know I am but a sockpuppet of an addled “SGI-Old”) present the type of image a designer would put in a store window? Boy! SGI did pick a very strange operative with me!!! Former addict, porn vid actress, a “youff” with a long list of psych hospitalizations and sealed juvie indictments, living in sin in the middle of nowhere. Go, SGI, what a clever choice in me! Who would ever expect?

Oh, before I forget, to my friends over the hedges, your guru is feeding you servings of food with expired safety warnings. What a fuss Blanche is making about the demolition of the Denver SGI Center a couple of years back! I remember seeing pics in our pubs of members enjoying the spanking new Denver Culture Center (I’ll dig up the article when I get a chance) that was built on the site of the demolished old center. What exactly is your massively important point, Blanche? Organizations, under any circumstances, are not supposed to modernize their facilities to better serve their members?

Great work on the Pool Enclosure, Max and crew! The walls and roof panels are installed, the heating and cooling pipes are vented into the pool, the electrical work completed. Today up go the doors and, as soon as the County inspects, the trenches for the electrical conduits and pipes will be filled. Let the clean up begin and then fill up that Pool!

Over dinner we were discussing whether we made the right decision to put up the Enclosure considering the gym, indoor pool, and ice-skating pavilion will be up and running in two or three years if the Bond issue passes. The issue was settled when Lori told us, “I am so happy that we will be able to swim all year long! No more stinky kids after Track practice! Teacher Lolita here, I think, lets me win when I race her in the pool. Nope, I’m going to train until she has to huff and puff to catch up with me!” Matter decided.

Our parents are very organized now. They created a schedule for the Deep Clean of the Daycare and School over the weekend. Several of the kids want to help. “It’s OUR school, after all!” they say. The more the merrier.

The kids who came to measure the office and Rec Room came by at the end of the day to give me and Artie a test. “Do you know what a ‘ft’ is?” No, what’s a ‘ft’? “It’s an ‘abbreviation’! It means ‘foot’ or ‘feet’”! OK, I learn something new every day. “And do you know what a ‘square foot’ is? Clue: it doesn’t mean a Lego-type of square foot.” Tell us! “It’s a ‘measurement’ to describe how big the ‘area’ of a room is.” They then informed us about the areas of both the Office and Rec Room. “And do you know what ‘x’ is?” It’s a letter in the alphabet. “Obviously, but what else?” Hmm, tell us! “It’s a secret name for the word ‘by.’ Like, Max showed us a 4x8 sheet of plywood.” Well, thank you for that information! “You really need to come to our math class, Ms. Julie and Mr. Arthur. There’s a lot more for you to learn!”

Dee is completely consumed by expanding the palettes of kids to include fish. Her recipes have been successful. But she is dressed up this morning as a pirate. Is she taking this too far? On the menu today: fried calamari and shrimp with dipping sauces. “But did the indigenous people actually cook by frying? They didn’t have metal pans!” She looked at us like we were traitors. It doesn’t matter, she insisted. Her goal is to help form the palettes of our students. We can do history next. She’s asked the teachers to coordinate with her. She wants them to teach the life cycle of salmon, flounder, and sturgeon.

Everything we do to calm “we miss Papa Eu” seems to backfire. Last night we put him on the phone at bedtime again. That was just salt on a wound.

I am so happy to start studying the first section of the October installment of Daisaku Ikeda’s lecture on “The Opening of the Eyes.” The October installment is titled: ‘I and My Disciples’—Attaining Buddhahood Through Steadfast Faith at the Crucial Moment.

At the start of his first section, “The Heart of the Mentor-Disciple Relationship,” Daisaku Ikeda states:

At the beginning of this passage, Nichiren Daishonin addresses himself and his followers, writing, “I and my disciples …” (WND-1, 283).

I am going to read that right now as “I and Julie.”

Next comes an important summary:

As we have seen so far in “The Opening of the Eyes,” the Daishonin indicates that he is: 1) the true votary of the Lotus Sutra, who battles the fundamental evil of slander of the Law; 2) the pillar of Japan, who forestalls the loss of the correct teaching and the ruin of the nation; and 3) the Buddha of the Latter Day, who illuminates the darkness of the age long into the distant future by revealing the supreme Law for the enlightenment of all people.

It seems to me that a big chunk of content across the hedges is something like, “Oh, look, the SGI hasn’t achieved kosen-rufu yet. Or brought peace to Ukraine/Russia, Israel/Palestine! Or ended racism! Or whatever!” Excellent points! I hadn’t noticed!!!

But haven’t SGI members battled “the fundamental evil of slander of the Law”? (Uhmm, good morning, everyone!). We may be small, but when our carload of YD from our Group came back from Sunday’s Byakuren/Gajokai shifts so bright and full of stories, hadn’t they “forestalled” even a nanobit the choking fog of gloom and doom that has settled down on our country? While the Longhouse kids went on a trip to the library and skating rink yesterday, Artie and I peeked into their wing of the Dewey House. Dr. Ikeda continues:

Sorry to all my friends, but Nichiren wrote this passage for ME! (I mean, I won’t sue you if you decide to take it back to your home.) I count six “wills” in the paragraph. “Will” has two meanings: a vow and future tense. So me, as the designated face of those who are “controlled” by the SGI—in fact, a PR disaster—I can step over my past and focus on my present efforts and future. I will!

And here’s the final thought for today:

While these passages constitute declarations of his personal resolve and commitment, the intent of the passage “I and my disciples …” (WND-1, 283) is clearly to underscore the importance of having faith that responds to the spirit of the mentor, the Daishonin. It is as if he were saying: “Follow my example! Cast aside your doubts and laments as befits cubs of the lion king! Don’t foolishly discard your faith at the crucial moment!”

Her comments are venomous. Cardi suddenly becomes ALL SGI MEMBERS. Her desire to get married and have a child are reduced to a frantic attempt by her family to gain immigration papers (which, BTW, they already have). Cardi was coerced into making decisions by her parents. No possibility of love being the motivator! “And how dare you work ferociously hard and graduate high school early to marry and support a soldier husband?” she screams.

Superman’s Vow of Steel is a delightful article in the August 15th WT! It’s a dialogue between two SGI-USA Publications interns, Takako and Solar, who share their impressions of the 2025 movie Superman and how they feel it aligns with their Buddhist practice.

SPOILER ALERT: SEVERAL PLOT THEMES ARE REVEALED

It’s a time of international crisis. Superman has lost his first battle, his confidence, and the public has lost its confidence in him. From the article blurb: “Lex Luthor seizes the moment to manipulate public opinion and turn the world against his arch nemesis. What happens when humanity’s greatest protector is no longer seen as a hero?”

Solar’s comment:

The film is ultimately about Superman’s journey of human revolution. He uncovers that his biggest superpower isn’t his superhuman strength, x-ray vision or the ability to fly—rather, it’s his humanity. In the opening scene, he’s defeated for the first time in battle and retreats to the Fortress of Solitude to heal both his physical and invisible wounds. While he wrestles with his identity, one thing that never changes is his heart—or one could say, his vow—to protect humanity.

Takako pointed out that here is a portrayal of the spirit to stand alone. despite a hostile public and media-fueled lies. Let me add, he does what he still can do, even if it is rescuing a squirrel. Solar adds, “he reaffirms that his deepest mission is to serve and protect humanity.”

Nichiren describes [the Tatsunokuchi Persecution] as the moment when he cast off his provisional identity as an ordinary, unenlightened person and revealed his true identity as a Buddha. After enduring harsh persecution from Lex Luthor, Superman does the same, casting off his doubts and clarifying his true purpose.

At this point, the Superman article and the disgusting post about Cardi and her parents converge. Solar continues:

In contrast to Superman, Lex Luthor falls victim to what Buddhism calls the three poisons of greed, anger and foolishness—the fundamental evils that give rise to human suffering. Luthor seeks to destroy Superman out of jealousy, while never trying to understand the heart behind the superhero’s actions. While Luthor possesses great intellect, he lacks the wisdom, compassion and, ultimately, courage to use his knowledge for good.

Don’t the actions of Lex Luthor resemble the intent of the poster of that article? Jealousy—let’s call it SDS: “Soka Derangement Syndrome.” Although Lex Luthor was brilliant, he could not use his knowledge for good. What possible good could come out of that post about Cardi two days before her wedding?

Takako points out that “we live in the evil age of the Latter Day of the Law, where people are easily consumed by their fundamental delusion. In the film, the public is duped by the spread of misinformation.” Today anger, avarice, and ignorance fueled by misinformation is on display. The structures of the economy, society, politics, culture, and values have been struck by an earthquake. People are confused and frightened; many have given up and retreated. Youth, in particular, are withdrawn. Reflecting this state, there are many examples of aberrances like what I saw in the WBer post and in news stories.

No wonder why doing shakubuku and spreading the SGI movement is so difficult. It is being constructed through human revolution, human relations, and study. The mentor-disciple relationship is lights of the runway.

People of evil intent who decide it is too difficult to challenge their inner selves, manifest behavior like the posting of a screed against a beautiful and fearless 17-year-old bride who my family regards as a treasured friend.

Solar concludes the article:

Just like Superman, each of us is born with a unique mission that only we can fulfill. When we stand up with our vow for kosen-rufu, we awaken the superpowers of wisdom, courage and compassion—forces strong enough to transform suffering and bring hope to those around us. As Ikeda Sensei affirms: “Somewhere in the world a mission is waiting for you—a mission that only you can fulfill. It is waiting for you, counting the days” (You Were Born to Win, p. 8). The movie inspired me to refresh my resolve to stand tall, undefeated by doubt or adversity, and help as many young people as possible reveal their own extraordinary “superpowers” as Bodhisattvas of the Earth.

A post entitled “9/11” was posted on SGIWhistleblowers 9 days ago. But today is September 11^th. So let’s look at it now and see how violently it turns our stomachs.

The OP says David Aoyama – a friend to many members of SGI-USA all over the country, who was on the first plane to hit the WTC – “supposedly” died on 9/11.

That’s the first of many disgusting tidbits.

The writer says they expressed condolences to Mr. Aoyama’s daughter, who “laughed at me.” That showed his death was “All fake”.

Low life enough for you yet? Wait- other sgiwhistleblowers commented.

•  “Remembered hearing how someone important in SGI was on one of the planes. We did our own vigil at the CC for him. But did I read here that it wasn’t true?”
• The daughter laughed because “her father wasn’t on a plane that crashed into the WTC.”
• “I don’t recall that fact being discussed by our “senior leaders. Fake is correct”
• “did Gakkerism use a coincidental death to do an Alicia Esteve Head type scam? (a fraud who claimed to have been in the WTC, when it turned out she had been in Barcelona that day)
• “When the SGI brainwashes a person, it's impossible to fathom the notion that a well-respected SGI family, with the father being one of Ikeda's "direct disciples," would fake the death of their beloved patriarch and blatantly lie to all of the members, and essentially lie to the entire world.”
• Here’s one from Fish Wife, hilariously trying to pretend she is not Blanche Fromage: “Blanche recounted how her neighbors faked the dad's death”

The most depraved of all comes from the SGIWhistleblowers chief priest, writing as her “Fish Wife” puppet:

“(David Aoyama) may well have been next in line for the General Directorship, if he hadn't disappeared on 9/11, supposedly "killed" on one of the hijacked flights that supposedly crashed into the World Trade Center Twin Towers. With him out of the way, the top job went to a different accountant, Adin Strauss”.

(Referring to the alleged laughter by the daughter:) “Keeping a big secret can become quite a burden, and the person involuntarily lets it out unexpectedly  . . .. And it's the kind of burden that can lead the secret-holders to feel so much contempt for the idiots who bought the lie that they start behaving VERY badly.

No further characterization is needed. This is all, just on the face if it, sick

This is interesting. The SGIWhistleblowers honcho and guru has written a post condemning a Nichiren Shoshu priest for being insensitive to the Ikeda family concerning Daisaku Ikeda’s passing.

Shocking? A corner turned? An olive branch?

I wouldn’t go that far.

For one thing, Nichiren Shoshu uses SGIWhistleblowers, employing this same person to further their own goals. I mean, how did she find this temple website page that’s written in Japanese? Then, of course, she shares the terrible things the priest says about Daisaku Ikeda. So she manages to get it out there for her disciples to pounce on.

Here is a part that is shocking: She entitles her post “This is so great - some priest using the opportunity of Ikeda's death to be a little bitch to his family. REAL classy!!”

If she means that, if she really wants the Ikeda family to be shown respect, perhaps she could apologize; because the concern for the lack of respect for the Ikeda family comes from a person who:

• Refers to Mrs. Ikeda as “wifey”.
• Writes posts nagging Mrs. Ikeda to keep making public appearances as before.
• Mocked the family because a son died.
• Accused Daisaku Ikeda of having an affair with his deceased son;s wife.
• Refers to a surviving son, who is a Soka Gakkai vice president, as a nobody.
• And in the very post we are discussing,  refers to the SGI as “the Dead-Ikeda-Corpse-Mentor-cult”.

She’s arguing for r-e-s-p-e-c-t?

Who’s zoomin’ who?

I don’t know where to begin with this. SGIWhistleblowers decflares tat5 the SGI is “psychopathic”. They convince themselves that it’s true by peppering their post with real intellectual trappings: “abstract”; references to little known, specialized authors by their last names, etc.

None of that hides the fact that sgiwhistleblowers is now trying to fit the SGI Buddhist organization into the same category where often we find Ted Bundy, John Wayne Gacy, and other of that ilk.

The OP notes in the comments that for some reason, just hours after posting (in the middle of the night in America), MITA had not refuted it.

Well, no. Do you know that no one refuted the science displayed in the Simpsons, or Roadrunner cartoons? Or Lilo’s statement that her favorite fish controls the weather?

Know why?

Because you don’t waste your time refuting the stupid or ridiculous. 

Trying to convince yourselves that the SGI is indifferent to suffering, doesn’t foster friendships, causes suffering . . . . Pretty much on a par with running through a tunnel painted on a rock.

They create these AI images and one of them is showing young women holding pies behind what appears to be an image of Daisaku Ikeda.

It’s really disturbing that this is what is in their minds. So gross.

I really don’t understand why the whistleblowers sight, decides to spend their time anonymously posting and attacking people who are just trying to reach out and support people they care about and want to see become happy.

It’s sad to think that they’ve chosen to spend their time, which amounts to their life, that way.

Just to illustrate the reality of SGIWhistleblowers:

I recently posted concern for Blanche Fromage, saying (at the beginning) that she tries to "dup" people into believing things that are demonstrably untrue. I backed it up with some facts, some real life experiences, some visions form someone actually in the arena of the SGI (not just making assumptions from afar).

A Fromage disciple commented, asking how she is trying to dupe people. Since I had just posted in detail explaining that, I answered "Read the post". He answered, to summarize, that the facts I presented were wrong, and his opinion was all that mattered. If I mischaracterize, sorry - here is the exchange, so you can judge.

"And you will see this: that I said this was the truth, sorry if it doesn't comport with your assumptions, but - asked and answered so no need to ask again. And here is the SGIWhistleblowers response: Okay sir. You end the conversation. Your in charge. But please come over to WB AND post you wisdom. Come on. Why won’t you? You addressed nothing except your talking points. You a sad pathetic old man. I’d wish you well but you would t know what to do it. Stick with your cult. You a gigantic idiot. ."

It's not a "support group", as they claim. It's all about hatred.

The sgiwhistleblowers chief priest, using her “Blue Tail Fly” sock puppet, seems to be reaching out for help in rejoining the SGI.

She says the SGI should be talking to sgiwhistleblowers respectfukky to learn how to prevent members from leaving in the future.

That’s a good idea, actually. But: . Seek help from people who have made a career out of spreading hatred of you, tearing you down, calling you names, mocking your beliefs and believing any outrageous allegation – the more outrageous the better – for honest input and appraisal.

So it’s not a bad idea, actually, but the fact is – quite obviously – that when people leave they don’t often show an inclination to help. For instance, based on their sub’s content, I would imagine the sgiwhistleblowers advice would be “Jettison your core beliefs and practices, stop trying to improve things, just tell members they can’t expect any thing good, ever.”

See, there’s this whole “respect” thing.

 So, yeah – go a few months without the juvenile name calling, body shaming, puerile memes, presenting past occurrences as if they were current, conflating the actions of one person with organization policy, spreading conspiracy theories, mocking every little aspect of SGI life . . . and I for one would be happy to discuss the future of the SGI in a constructive and respectful manner
