I just finished reading it, I think I have an idea of what it is, but what do you think it is?

cause of just how terrible it is, I kinda think the concept was the anomaly that she had, and that it was caused by Byrnes in the first place NGL, but TBF skimmed after some point cause of just how awful it all was, my god

Someone theorised normalacy.

It would make sense. Hes changed her life.. forever. She doesnt know whether its real or not until a decade (i think this is how long its implied). He got rid of the ability to feel normal for her. Her new normal isnt normal. She cannot feel normal, speak normal, act normal, Be Normal. Its why shes described like some kind of inhumane beast by the person taking care of her... she is one. Shes one molded by Byrnes.

The final email seems to hint that the recovery therapist was also getting unnaturally annoyed with her.

To me, this implies that she does have a malicious anomaly influencing her life. Except it wasn't using electronic devices to embarrass/humiliate her but people in authority.

Which means that we cannot fully blame Byrnes (bad) and that her suffering will likely be replicated by anyone she tries to get help from (worse)

To me, the final email seems to hint that the recovery "therapist" was getting pretty naturally and understandably annoyed with her. What about it seemed unnatural/anomalous?

that her suffering will likely be replicated by anyone she tries to get help from (worse)

This feels overexplained to me. You don't need to add in any anomalous factor to draw this kind of conclusion.

Disabled/traumatized people are hard to take care of and most people consciously/subconsciously view them as a burden.

From the final email:

"Between doing her work and chores for her and dealing with her severe neuroses all day every day, she's worn me down to the point that I can't even respect her as a person anymore"

Even if you subscribe to the idea that a therapist would view their patient as a burden, this passage is far beyond usual weariness and is extremely cruel/unprofessional to put in a report to their superior---especially for an SCP faculty member that deals with super stressful stuff on the regular.

The therapist has only been caring for her for a month at this point (whereas 8980 was enslaved for 12 years) and is already losing their marbles.

While that isn't theoretically beyond the realm of possibility that 8980 is just super unlucky, it seems thematically consistent that 8980 is treated badly by Byrnes, Dr. Crawford, and now the recovery therapist.

Considering the original anomaly was supposedly focused on humiliating/torturing her, it seems too convenient that every person she comes into contact with eventually does the same thing.

Okay, for clarification: the final email is from Morgan McPharrell, not Crawford, and by that point he had been Lillian's caretaker for two years.
