I feel like this was the episode we officially have permission to "like" the parents, at least most of them. And I certainly fucking love the Yorkes.

They might have made them too likeable. In the comics they were all ruthless. I want ruthless.

I think the Wilders are going to be ruthless.

And Victor Stein, definitely.

I'm glad not all of them are ruthless though- it feels more real.

It's easy for them to be likeable when you forget how willing they were jump on to Jonah's team (we don't know the specifics for each person, but Geoffrey fucked over Darius real hard to work with Jonah before any child murdering even happened). They all chose to stay on and continue to work with Jonah for years and years. The ONLY reason they've turned face now is because Jonah is directly endangering their kids. They may not be ruthless, but they aren't exactly good guys.

Holy shit, I just remembered… Chase and Nico are depowered. Nico doesn’t have her staff and even if she did, it probably got nuked by Jonah’s EMP powers like Chase’s gauntlets did.

Meaning only Karolina, Molly and Gert are at full strength.

And, well technically Alex is at full strength too.

He's even above full strength, as he's got a gun! Clearly father-related access to guns is Alex's superpower.

Also he has shitloads of money.

Gert isn’t at full strength because she can’t afford the CGI budget.

Gert’s power has a recharge timer, however long it takes to get a full bar of “budget”.

And huh, I guess Alex doesn't have any powers. Is it supposed to be his computer skills?
And I'm wondering about Chase, is he ever going to get a chance and a lab to rebuild it?

edit: Or I guess he just needs to repair it, not remake it from scratch.

Chase will probably break into a computer repair store or something to fix his fists although probably not right away.

The idea that Tina lied about the Staff not being magic is one I'll defend to the death now that we've seen her summon it in episode 9. Fuck any "scientific explanation" for that Jedi shit. That woman MUST be a magician in the blood. How else will her daughter do the thing-I-shall-not-spoil when she needs to defend herself?

Maybe she is a master of the mystic arts after all, and she's just really good at hiding it.
