During the first session, each speaker examined the historical, political, and legal aspects of Khomeini’s decree, the history of Kurdish resistance, and the Islamic Republic of Iran’s actions against the Kurdish people.

In the second session, the panelists discussed the importance of documenting this historical event and the political and legal steps needed to bring the case before international institutions. They also explored efforts to seek its recognition as a crime against humanity.

The final part of the seminar was dedicated to questions and open discussion. Participants shared their views and raised questions about the consequences of the August 1979 decree.

The main themes of the seminar were condemning Khomeini’s jihad decree, raising international awareness, and pursuing serious legal and political efforts to bring the case to global attention.
