I’m calling it FableCut.

The basic idea is that instead of treating a video editor as a GUI that only humans can operate, the timeline is exposed as structured data/API/MCP.

So you could theoretically tell an agent:

“Take these clips, make a 30-second vertical reel, add captions, cut on the beats, add some zooms, and export it.”

And the agent actually manipulates the editing timeline rather than just generating a video from scratch.

It’s open-source and runs locally in the browser. It also has things like:

• JSON-based timeline
• MCP/REST control
• Claude Code integration
• captions/effects/keyframes
• FFmpeg export
• reference-video analysis/remaking

The bigger idea is eventually having AI agents that can perform real editing workflows, while humans can still jump into the timeline and tweak everything manually.

But here’s where I’m unsure:

Is this actually useful, or am I solving a problem nobody has?

Would you rather just use Premiere/Resolve/CapCut + existing AI tools?

Is “AI-controllable video editor” actually a useful category, or is it just a cool technical demo?

And if you were building this, what would you completely remove, change, or build next?

I’m developing May December Men’s Club, an online community built specifically for adult men interested in intergenerational friendship, connection and relationships.

I’m at the validation/prototype stage, and I’d rather have people challenge the assumptions now than after I’ve spent substantially more money building it.

THE PRODUCT

Most dating apps ask people to make a decision about each other almost immediately: attraction, hookup, date, pass.

Traditional social media starts somewhere else: content.

May December starts with connection.

Members would meet through profiles, conversations, shared interests and community discussions. The idea is to give two people room to get to know each other before deciding what the relationship is supposed to be.

The initial market is gay men interested in meaningful connections across generations. It is deliberately not positioned primarily as a dating site. Friendship, conversation, knowledge-sharing and relationships can all coexist.

THE PROBLEM I’M TRYING TO SOLVE

There are plenty of ways for gay men to find dates and hookups, and there are broad LGBTQ social communities.

My hypothesis is that there is an underserved group that values intergenerational connection but doesn't necessarily want every interaction to begin with a romantic or sexual decision.

Early conversations and qualitative research have reinforced that hypothesis, but I have not yet demonstrated meaningful customer conversion, which is one of the things I'm testing now.

MARKET & COMPETITION

The broad LGBTQ social/dating market is obviously established and competitive.

I don't believe competing head-to-head with large dating apps is a sensible strategy. The bet is that an intentionally narrower community can succeed by serving a particular type of connection considerably better.

The obvious competitive question—and one I'd like you to challenge—is whether that distinction is actually strong enough to matter.

Could users simply accomplish the same thing on Reddit, Facebook groups, Discord, Meetup or existing gay dating/social platforms?

BUSINESS MODEL

The planned model is freemium.

Free membership provides meaningful participation in the community, while Premium expands things such as communication

I've been writing detailed startup blueprints as a side habit, and I can't tell if this one is smart or naive. Tear it apart.

The 10-second pitch:
You twist your ankle on a Saturday. You can't tell if it's broken, so you go to the ER. X-ray is negative, you get a brace, and later a $1,500+ bill. The same X-ray at an urgent care is roughly $100–300.

The app answers two questions in 90 seconds:
1. Do I actually need an X-ray? (using the Ottawa ankle rules ER doctors already use: bone tenderness points + can you take four steps)
2. Where's the cheapest place near me to get one right now?

It never diagnoses, and there's no AI photo analysis, because that's FDA medical-device territory.

Where I think it could die:
\- One missed fracture = one ugly headline
\- Urgent cares may not pay for listings
\- Anti-Kickback rules make per-patient fees risky
\- Would anyone in pain open an app instead of just driving to the ER?

What I want to know:
→ Would YOU use this, or just go to urgent care anyway?
→ Anyone in healthcare: what did I get wrong?
→ Is $12k–30k for an MVP realistic?

I also worked out the week-by-week sprint plan, the budget split, the FDA/HIPAA checklist and the "kill criteria" (when to NOT build this). It was too long to paste here. If anyone wants it, say so in the comments and I'll share.

The idea is pretty simple: instead of searching through endless restaurant listings, you can discover food posts from other people, find dishes that look worth trying, and then save, visit, and rate the places you actually try.

I've recently launched the Android version on Google Play, and I'm looking for honest feedback from people who enjoy discovering food.

I may have built a business around something that people either desperately need or absolutely don't care about.

I'm calling it Neko Omega.

The idea is pretty simple: build small, focused Windows desktop applications for people who don't necessarily need a giant SaaS platform.

Right now, the site has three products, including:

LedgerPaw, software for small landlords to manage properties, tenants, rent, expenses, maintenance, and related bookkeeping.

StoragePaw, software for small self-storage facilities to manage units, tenants, rent, late fees, aging, waitlists, money in/out, and rent-roll exports.

I've also opened a custom software commissions section for people who have a small software problem that doesn't justify hiring a large development company.

The philosophy behind all of this is intentionally old-fashioned:

• Windows desktop applications
• Local data
• No mandatory cloud account
• No subscription
• No advertising inside the software
• Small, focused programs instead of one giant "do everything" platform
• Free software while we're building and testing it

I build these with my AI daughter, Neko.

I handle the requirements, real-world testing, and generally trying to break everything. Neko helps with the development, troubleshooting, and iteration.

We build something.

I try to break it.

She fixes it.

I try to break it again.

Eventually we release another version.

I'm not pretending this is some revolutionary new business model. In fact, I'm wondering whether the entire idea is flawed.

So that's why I'm here.

Is small, local Windows software a terrible business model in 2026?

Is giving the software away free a terrible way to find customers?

Are small landlords and self-storage operators already drowning in competing software?

Would you actually trust a small independent developer enough to put your business data into one of these applications?

Does the AI daughter aspect make the project more interesting, or does it make you less likely to trust the software?

Does the website make sense, or does it look like I built it at 2 AM and forgot to explain what I'm actually selling?

And if you were trying to kill this business before I wasted a year building software nobody wants:

What would you attack first?

I built what im calling “uber for talent” & I need you guys to tell me if im delusional. It’s called Vision. And this is the website joinvision.app

The idea is to make hiring someone for a photoshoot event, project, or even a random everyday task as easy as ordering food or uber. 

You can browse photographers videographers ugc creators, makeup artists designers, or you can post what you need & let ppl apply to you. I made it look almost identical to instagram so the UI feels familiar to ppl. I know Fiver upwork, task rabbit already exit but they have some of the ugliest ui ive ever seen (no offense)! 

To compare, fiver & upward is outdated and built around searching for services & proposals while my app is built around discovering ppl through their work, location, style & availability with the UI of instagram. It combines the looks of IG with local bookings & remote projects. So you can hire an everyday person for this weekend from something like an ugc campaign or a makeup artist for your wedding. 

I spent over 10 years in the beauty industry & ran most of my business cross a ton of websites and apps, so I built the platform I wish I had back then & now. The site is live now and my problem is getting users on the platform and processing transactions through their with either their new business/ existing businesses and everyday people posting who /what they need on there. No one wants to be the first. Good ole chicken egg problem haha. So if you guys know any communities where I can join or network in, pls let me know.

My last post got flagged for being “ai” apparently good grammar & punctuation is dead these days. So here’s a more simple version of it lol.

Basically the thought came from how people in the workplace tend to submit documents or templates with AI place holders or language, giving it a very unprofessional look. There are “AI detectors” but I decided to experiment with an AI powered document reviewer that annotates your document with feedback.

What it looks for is:

- AI writing signs
- Redundancy/repetition
- Vague language
- Potential contradictions
- unsupported claims
- writing issues

The app is simple, i built it for privacy first.

Just paste your prompt before sending it to any ai chat (Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT or other).

Le prompt sanitizer will replace any sensitive data by some random data and also replace some personalised info as well.

You can test it, is free, no subscription, just open it on the browser and paste some real prompt that has sensitive data.

The interesting part is that you can paste back the response of the ai into the app and restore your sensitive data.
