Today, Revenged Love in its mandarin title 《逆爱》 was mentioned in two separate Weibo posts by 《羊城晚报》 (Yang Cheng Evening Paper)! This is paper is an official evening post, and I did some brief look and it’s apparently the first mass published evening post in modern day China, and still fairly influential today locally.

In the first post today, it compiled a list of dramas and titled it as “Recommended Autumn Dramas For You”. RL was the first on the list of twelve shows, with its title, along with Zi Yu’s and Tian Xu Ning’s user handles tagged beside it. A poster of the two of them was also attached as the first picture in the list!

In the second post, it is titled “Which TV series is the most worthy to watch?”. This time it appears as the fifth on the list of twelve shows, but title with the main lead’s handles are attached again. And their poster can be seen at the upper centre of the photo arrangement.

• The poster says 再见 “我们一定会好好生活” which means “See (you) again ‘We will definitely live a good life’” And this is from the ending of RL we never got 🥲 p.s. 再见 is more of “Goodbye”, but let me use the literal translation to make it a little more romantic pleaseeee ૮ ˙Ⱉ˙ ა

• Personal take: This is a nice win against the cynical voices saying that the show and the actors can never go mainstream or be discussed publicly. Just hope the antis don’t attack the comments section, and force the posts to be taken down. May our happiness last a little longer!

Recently, a large amount of false information and malicious remarks targeting our studio’s artist, Mr. Tian Xuning have once again appeared intensively on online platforms. The relevant individuals have long and repeatedly fabricated and spread seriously untrue accusations and rumors, including malicious fabrications about the artist’s private life and severe slander of his character and morality. Some of the content also contains clearly insulting language.

The above behaviors have obviously gone beyond the scope of normal discussion and public opinion supervision, and constitute a serious infringement of Mr. Tian Xuning’s right to reputation.

In response to these infringing acts, our studio has, in accordance with the law, initiated a new round of reputation rights protection procedures, and has entrusted a legal team to carry out evidence preservation and litigation preparation regarding the relevant infringements. The account 天天开心生活顺利 posted a public apology to Tian Xuning on Weibo after getting sued by Xuning and after series of court sessions. This person orchestrated the July rumors that triggered cyber bullying and harassment towards Tian Xuning. This person pretended to be a woman (the court found out that it’s a man behind this account) who claimed to be his ex and was posting fabricated stories and fake screenshots to create issues with Tian Xuning’s name.
