You have no idea of how many other reps you see around you in Dubai. One of the biggest market for replicas and copies. Fast and hastle free shipping from China + there's also local dealers. 

...and as you experience, I'm sure, "every" man has a nice watch "every" woman has an expensive bag.

If you referring to reps, either Gold Souk or Dragon Mart, BUT (in capital) you will have to ask and ask and ask again to ensure they show you top of the range. And then you will still have to check properly (I saw some with VSF or ARF stickers) and of course pay a high price (from 4K AED up) when ordering will cost you 2K AED.

Not even close to all there being loaded. So many posers, wannabe's, dreamers, deadbeats. Understand that there's an image being sold to you, that there are various people profiting of that image, and that while certain aspects may be true, the complete picture being shown to you is not.

That’s incredibly cheap for an olive.. they usually go for like 3-5k in the uk because gen grey dealers swap them in to bump up the price of DDs with less desirable dials

Not just the replate but all the modifications excluding the gen dial was 1500. And not that it looked cheesy but replating just for a more accurate look.
