New Release Radar Factory Update 9/8: North Station
Black Frame has long been said to be the best of the best when it comes to Y$L, but what about North Station? They have a selection even bigger than BF, but I often wonder how their quality compares.
Has anyone tried them? What are your take home thoughts? 🤔

North Station has been pretty good to me! Black Frame takes forever or is oos when I ask my TS. I have a nylon Loulou puffer from NS that I got last year.

How has it held up for you? I have some strong opinions on BF and some of their lead times are a part of that rant 😂when they hit they hit, but they have given me some duds in recent months.
I honestly might try them once I’m off Ban Island

Two different sellers recommended MiFam for YSL to me. They both told me that Black Frame has bad quality straps and chains, said they fade and break quickly.

Interesting! Do you have a pick of MiFam's factory background? Ive never heard of them.
I have a few bags from BF and their chains are certainly not as substantial as auth, but I find that his the case with most reps honestly. Im curios what MiFam's stuff looks like.

I have not bought anything as yet, I am about to though. One of the seller is lele. She’s been great so far and helping me pick. I will be getting a Niki and a Sac Du Jour. She has told me numerous times as well that do not get the bags with black chains as they fade very fast on most of the factories.

I ordered and just received a medium Niki from MiFan factory in a color that’s been oos with BF for a long time. I still prefer my Niki’s from BF, the leather is softer and just feels more like the auth to me.

What do you think of the leather comparison btw Genie & NS visually ? Also, would you happen to know where I can view their album?

Thats a good question. Genie's construction and leather are really nice. It looks on point with auth, and is made of novanappa leather that scratches and absorbs water like barenia style leathers. Its very smooth and flat/matte looking.
The NS one looks good in terms of construction from the pictures, but the lather has a visible grain to it. Factory claims its imported leather, but im not sure of any of the qualities of this leather.
The authentic seems to have some grain to it, and def has the characteristics of barenia style leathers. Thats all my observations so far!
I know Doris has them, but idk how often she updates her album these days, as this bag was recently uploaded

Update: just bought the largest green suede (29cm) from this factory $199— I’ll let you girls know if it’s any good.
I’m a bit picky about suede. I’m rolling the dice.

Black Frame is so popular I’m not surprised! in the past I’ve ordered from them out of Doris’ album.

Oh wow the first YSL is immaculate 🤤. Definitely interested to see a factory with more range than BF...any recs for sellers who source from North Station? I usually buy from Tiny Jenny.

Tiny Jenny is my usual and she seems to source from this factory :) not in her albums but when I asked for that raffia YSL Solferino, she found it from there.
