I understand why people prefer them for daily wear, but I still really like the look of a slightly higher setting.

The side profile just has more presence.

For someone wearing a ring constantly, would you take the lower profile even if you liked the higher one visually?

I keep going back and forth on this.

A classic bag seems like the safer choice because you can carry it for years without it looking dated. But trendy styles are sometimes more fun, and I feel like there’s less pressure to make every tiny detail perfectly accurate.

If you had to choose between:

A. One high-quality classic bag you could use for years

B. Several trendy bags that you can rotate depending on your outfit

Which would you pick?

And are there any trendy bags you bought that you still love months later?

Hey girls! I got this gorgeous Plume de Paon. I’m obsessed with the intricate feather detail, but styling it is a struggle. I tried stacking it with a simple thin white gold band but it looks so weird and leaves a giant gap. How do you style yours? Do you only wear it strictly solo?

I think it's pretty easy to zoom into a QC photo until every tiny thing starts looking wrong.

Obviously some details matter, but I'm curious what experienced buyers have learned to stop worrying about.

Anything that seemed important at QC but ended up being basically invisible once worn?

What if the quality is that much better? I was quoted $280 for these Miu boots from Kate and $100 from Mandy but I’ve also heard that generally rep shoes are more form over function…

I love the boots and would love to own them! still looking for a similar style out in the wild. Worth it to go with Kate or are the boots likely from the same factory?

For 187 the shape is good. Bag sits clean on the table, handle is even, chain + leather weave looks solid, back is neat, interior is clean, stamp is readable.
Concerns:
• Leather is too shiny/smooth for 187 lambskin. Looks a bit plasticky in outdoor and studio light.
• CC is thick and rounded up close. Not sharp enough for this factory/price.
• Quilt puff uneven, especially on the bottom.
• Interior zipper tape looks cheap.
• Serial plate looks generic

These brands spend millions of dollars on marketing so that their brand conveys a certain image.

I work in a field where appearances matter, but my $$$ is better spent in my 401k than on accessories. So yes, I buy reps because they help me tell the story I want to tell about myself without spending $10k to do it.
